Great news. I think we need to be realistic about his fitness though. His performance level towards the end of the season wasn't as good as earlier on - no doubt because of the hernia. So, I'd be tempted to start Taylor ahead of Davies against Croatia. Taylor's pretty much as good as Davies defensively, odd rush of blood apart. Davies could be a good second half sub if we're behind or level. Depending on where James is at, a double substitution of Davies and James in the second half for Taylor and Lawrence would pose a real challenge to a tiring Croatian team.
It's worth remembering that what we gain now may be our loss come Autumn, if his recuperation from the operation eats into the new season. So, we need to handle him carefully.

Your all welcome lol
Well done Ben.
If you can only play one then so be it difficult to choose which one.

Great man, if only all involved with Wales shared his commitment to the cause.
Hope he doesn't aggravate the injury with Wales though.
GWYCH!

You beat me to it: +) Agree completely. Imagine Ash might be rested and used in the evening ko in Budapest.

With good reason. He had a very good 2017/18 season but throughout this one, whilst he's been solid, he hasn't offered the dynamism expected of modern-day top class full backs. He has a total of 0 goals and assists in 36 prem and champions league appearances, Digne has 8 goals/assists in 35 prem matches. Time to take the blinkers off.

Possibly, although as I understand it that's only affected him during the second half of the season. We'll see how he goes next year. I think he's a great player, but probably another one that's been hyped a little too much on here, spurs fans are certainly not sold on him.

To be fair, Rose was Spurs' best player by some distance in the Champions League final.

Danny Rose has been in amazing form, which has kept Davies out.

Am I the only one concerned about Ben's lack of game time, or a proper pre-season? Obviously they should be able to properly assess him once he's in camp - but if there are any doubts about his fitness I'd start Taylor ahead of him at left back. I'm also not sure I'd play him at centre back either. I'd sooner play a fully fit and in-form Rodon or Lockyear, risky though that is, than a half-baked Davies.

Made a bad mistake in Hungary when he was half-baked. I think Giggs has learned from this and I expect to see Taylor back in the XI.

A bit bizarre given his key role in the second goal. I can't see how he was at fault for either of the Olympiakos goals. From a Welsh perspective great that he's got another 90 minutes under his belt. Why did others doubt he'd get the game time ahead of the next double-header? Ye of little faith.
