I said during the Nations League that the team needs to be planned without Bale. We'd be lucky to have him for 1 game in 10. I never thought this would happen but wont be surprised if he retires from int football not long after 30. Rubbish. Bale will be playing for Wales at 40 - if he's still playing professional football. We'll see. Bookmark this page!

Fuck me some over reaction on here. Their defence cost them today not Bale or anyone else. Hopefully the injury isn't too bad and he will be fit for Slovakia. As for retiring from international football, cant see that happening especially while at Madrid WE know that, but the Madrid fans and press will make him scapegoat again.

Wales without Bale is Albania away! We can all be positive about Brooks, Wilson, Lawrence, Matondo but he is on a completely different planet to them. Hopefully they’ll all make it to his level one day but none of them come close at the minute. We need him to qualify.

But yeah Brooks looked amazing with no end product, James looked anonymous. I just feel without Bale who can turn a game in a second we’ll have a team with amazing play in front of the opposition back 4 but unable to get through the last line of defence. That’s just how I feel though, will be delighted to be proved wrong.

He cannot possibly be 'enjoying it'. Get the f--k out Gareth come, on this is getting farcical.

Remember what happened after Sweden smashed us? True, I hope we go on a similar run now. I’ve just always had the thoughts that we’re an industrious team being carried by Bale, Ramsey and Allen. Robson Kanu and Woodburn started to step up but now both are off the radar. I just can’t see Tyler Roberts getting 1 in 3, or any of the youngsters putting anyone to the sword. Bale is our go to man when we’re, for lack of a better word, f*****.

Bottom line is he is happy in Madrid. Football is his job and just a part of life. What exactly is making him happy, there isn't a lot to back this up. When he finally leaves there and/or his book comes out, you will find out just how UNhappy he is. Comes off the bench gets booed, then he gets sent off gets jeered, then drives home with 30 minutes of the match left, car attacked. Then in the evening when his teammates try to include him by asking him out for a get together he declines due to his ridiculous excuse of 'no eating after 6'. Reads the morning paper and the headline is 'Madrid players unhappy with non Spanish speaking loner'. Sounds like he's having a whale of a time.

Think he is probably mentally stronger than you. Yes, it's not great at the moment but life rarely is easy all the time.
He has his family around him , the weather is nice, the golf is good and he is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Like I said his agent who knows him better than us says he's happy and they tend to go the other way.
A new manager will be in soon and maybe they will play him on the left as he looked sharp there for 15 minsast night why they moved him central I will never know.

They were 2 down and ended up conceding 4 so any blame on Bale for this game is well off the mark and he will know that. Small margins as he hit the post first half and looked dangerous before being moved central where he was out of the game. Ronaldo must be loving it

The current manager is a muppet. He’s been playing Benzema, Vazquez and Vinicius up top with Bale and Ascencio on the bench.
As soon as those two came on for the injured V’s, Madrid looked a threat. They still didn’t play to their strengths though and are a shambles at the back, which is the main issue.
He’ll be gone soon and hopefully the next one (Mourinho again?) will know what to do with Bale.

Does he speak no Spanish Is not being a family man with your family every day not a good thing. For starters, no player has defended him in the press as far as I'm aware and at least 3 have criticised him for being aloof and/or not learning the language properly. The fans are blatantly not on his side, otherwise his agent wouldn't have said 'they are a disgrace' and they wouldn't boo him. I don't know any fans that boo or jeer people they like. You can be with your family anywhere on the planet. This has absolutely nothing to do with Real madrid or Spain.

I have to say Ajax were very impressive last night. Tactically they looked streets ahead of Madrid. Their fluid front 4 were causing all sorts of problems. Tadic looked unplayable with 3 assists and a fantastic goal. What shocked me the most was Carvajal's performance. For Ajax's second goal look at Carvajal's positioning, he was being dragged into the left back position which created the space for Neres to score. Absolutely nowt to do with our Gareth why Madrid lost that. In fact they looked far more threatening with him than without him.

Carvajal's positioning and decision making was also shocking against Barcelona on the weekend, was constantly leaving gaping holes behind him as he tried to get forward again and again, whilst his forward distribution was poor. The Spanish commentator suggested that Bale should have been doing a lot more to help Carvajal on that day.

Saw him get caught out a number of times, not following his man. There was a chance in the second half where Ziyech made a straight run into the box behind Nacho, ball comes in and Nacho is miles away. Ziyech really should have scored. Madrids defence is laughable lately.

I hope Gareth is fit for Wales. Real Madrid got what they deserved last night, beaten by the better team. Ajax in with an outside chance this year. It'd be nice to see someone outside the usual suspects for a change. Don't think anyone could blame Bale for last night, disjointed performance perhaps, but at least he was prepared to chase down the opposition. If he'd worn stronger boots perhaps the injury might have been less severe. These plastic slippers don't seem to offer much support even though they cost a fortune.

I wonder how Man City fans can sleep at night when they hear Aguero give interviews to the BBC in his native language. Still not being able to speak the language after 4+ years is obviously affecting his performances.

You've got to laugh at this: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47474001Also, is it just me that finds it hard to appreciate Zidane as a player because there is something deeply unlikeable about his character? There was just something about him I never liked as a player and then as a manager I feel like his alleged treatment of Bale has confirmed my suspicions...
