If he's fully fit and firing for Wales I don't mind where he is, but I really hope he doesn't go to China

If Real are so desperate to get rid of him, then they'll have to go a long way to paying up his contract. Its very big money and he's right to sit it out. On the plus side for us, he should be available for our remaining qualifiers if a little short of match fitness.

Some outlets reporting Bales agent in advanced talks with a Chinese super league side. If that’s the case he’s officially given up. Chasing the money and an easy life. But why would he move to China when his family are settled in Madrid and he can’t be arsed to learn the language? China would be easy money footballing wise but very poor from a language and geography point of view.

He's not getting game time at Madrid, and to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the situation there, which has been going ongoing for a few years, has worn him down to the point that he has accepted the situation and resigned to seeing out his contract there.
He might be going to somewhere where he will be appreciated and welcomed (plus, the climate is also good).
The standard of football isn't ideal and I'd prefer to see him at Bayern or United, but it's surely better than no football at all.
There are some European and Latin American players in the Chinese Superleague, including a few players who featured at last year's World Cup.
It's difficult to know what impact it might have on his playing ability going forward.
However, from what I've seen of Slovakia so far during the qualifiers, it doesn't appear to have impacted Hamsík as much as one might have expected; he still presented a credible threat to us during the game in Cardiff.
I get that he is not really on the same level as Bale when super-fit, but let's try to look at any potential positives.
As China don't do "transfer fees" (if I'm correct in thinking), then potentially it might be easier for him to re-sign for another club in the future should he wish to do so.

You really think his hair is a problem You sir are a complete idiot His hair isn't the problem, his attitude is. A fresh trim can bring about a change in mindset and a carpe diem spirit. If he fucks off to China for the megabucks, he's finished as a top-level player, it's that simple.

That would be it for him with regards to the big stage and he’s only turned 30. Go to China when you're 35 but surely he's not ready to ease off now. The Times are reporting today that he has 3 offers from China. According to the same report, discussions with B Munich are also ongoing with PSG trying to push through a Neymar swap with Bale + £90m. Thiago Alcântara has been quoted as saying they'd welcome him at Munich as he's similar to Robben and Ribery. Surely, Bale would want to go to Munich or PSG where he'd have an opportunity to have another crack at the Champions League. Also, he'd have an opportunity to prove Zidane and Madrid wrong. It would he hugely disappointing to see him disappear to China.

I'm starting to think this may be out of Bale's control.
Bale's ideal is that he stays at Madrid. I don't think Zidane will allow it. Secondly he'd probably want to sign for an elite side in Europe. If no one wants him / can afford him then this isn't an option.
If Zidane wants him out, and China is the only option Bale has, then what is he supposed to do?

I've no idea but from his persona I don't think he would want to sit out his contract because of the hassle it would bring.
Still could make himself a legend at another club. But oh well, what a shame. His individual moments at RM will be remembered, but his time there overall won't be.
Should've left previously and come back to where he is more appreciated and a big fish in a big pond.

He barely contributed to most of RM's success over recent years but people on this forum were happy for him to stay. Stacking up those hollow trophies. I wouldn't be disappointed now. I've been disappointed for years. Staying at Real Madrid and being so poorly treated is why he has lost (hope im wrong) a huge amount of ability and passion I believe

He's not been the same player since Euro2016, for either Real or more importantly Wales(Champions League final cameo accepted). Hope he makes the the right decision and gets his career back on track. He doesn't need more mega, mega bucks at a football backwater, he needs to be accepted and appreciated somewhere new that provides a good standard of football, put this Real nightmare behind him and crack on.
However, maybe the £ signs in front of his eyes might be too much to resist (and his agent).

Yeah that's true. It's almost as if qualifying for the Euro's was like mission accomplished for Bale, in terms of a footballing dream. The holy grail of Welsh football, achieved. What else is there left for him to do? He's won it all at Madrid, qualified with Wales.... But then look at Ronaldo, has won and achieved everything in football (bar WC of course) and he's still hungry for more. I thought Bale was of the same mould, clearly not.

I would love to see Bale move to Bayern. A gap has opened up there, which would allow him to take centre stage if he were to remain mostly fit. PSG could also be an option provided Neymar moved on to allow Bale and Mbappe to build a midfield partnership.
Then again, if it is China, I'm not sure what would be worse, staying at a club where he gets no game time or moving to a new club where he will take centre stage and might be given free reign.
It isn't ideal but it's a matter of lesser evils. He will likely be welcomed with open arms in China, and he'll be lambasted in Madrid. Cannot understimate the likely consequences this is likely to have on his wellbeing and the knock-on effects it has on his football.

I have said all along that he would go to PSG in some sort of a Neymar swap. I think that's what Madrid wants and he has that offer but I think he doesn't want that. If he goes to China and is scoring and happy then who cares? A happy Bale in the middle up front with Brooks, James, Wilson, Matondo all young and doing the running sounds just fine to me. PSG, Bayern and China all great options

He’s never played in a World Cup (and will not). That’s a massive hole in his CV, given what he has achieved otherwise in the game and should be enough to keep him hungry- if he really does still care about playing for Wales that is. The Euros is good but it doesn’t have the stature of the World Cup with it’s 1 billion worldwide audience.

I think i'm in the minority here - but i'm not all that fussed if he does go to china (mainly coz he is his own man and he can do what he thinks is best for him and his family). Maybe he knows that a lesser league like that would suit him better than say the prem with the amount of injuries he's had. he'd be playing and he would hopefully be turning up for Wales fresh. and as for people saying it would be his international career over if he does go to China - give your head a wobble! if he is fit he walks into our team. the kids coming through are just that - kids, and he is still way ahead of them even after a couple of poor games.
