Not been mentioned but just an awesome goal against Sunderland in the 90 minute.
What a talent we have on our hands.
New deal on the table from Spurs apparently includes a trigger release clause at the end of 2013/14 for bids over 50 million.
What would you advise Bale to do? Should he really play....er, I mean carry Spurs for another season when he is arguably at his peak? Another season in the Europa League?

Most Spuds fans I know wouldn't blame him if he left now. In fact they reckon with the money they could finally get a striker or two. He would be a loss, no question; but if the money was spent wisely Spurs could be a better side without him

Seven years ago today Bale made his full international debut against Trinidad and Tobago. Be honest, did any of us at that stage have any idea how good he would become?

The only player in the top 10 who played in the Europa league and he didn't even come close to winning it, so for him to get on the list is very impressive. I can't wait to see what he'll do next season. 39 days to go...................

Anyone here still think he is going to be staying at spurs?
My guess is RM for £85m - a new world record.

He's off. I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs are happy for this to be being played out in public; it draws other suitors out (like PSG or Bayern) and it doesn't matter whether Spurs get £80M or £180M for him if they have no time to replace him and get in the strikers they need.
He won't play vs Eire though...

He's off to Madrid I reckon.
Which is unbelievable.
I can see it now... Champions league final... last minute... Bale cuts in from the right... against Barca... shoots... scores... la decima is secured... Bale goes into Madrid history.

I don't think it's a done deal yet.
Spurs seem determined to hold on to him- for them to turn down 80 odd million is a hell of a statement considering they could get 2 or 3 very good replacements.
For Bale it's a very good move, for Wales? I think it's better if he stays at Spurs. Ancelotti has apparently been playing Ronaldo down the middle leaving a space for Bale on the left. I think for Bale to truly reach Ronaldo and Messi class he needs to be given the freedom he has had at Spurs.
Ronaldo is the main man at Madrid and Bale will be part of a supporting cast when really Bale is at a level where he should be playing in a team that is built around him.

Watching this footage of all 31 of his goals last season for Spurs & Wales you can just see why his value is so high.....and just what an unbelievable player we have on our hands. Now is the time.

Looking more likely he's staying. Which I think ultimately I'd prefer, I'm just scared he'll get seriously injured which is much more likely playing in the premier league. He has come close to getting his leg snapped a few times over the last few seasons.

Most players would settle for half of those in a career highlights montage. Some of those free kicks defy logic. The second goal against Scotland still gives me goose bumps. Special performance, special night
