I think he's only got a Welsh parent and he's very highly rated so I wouldn't be surprised if England come knocking. I'm sure there's someone on here that knows more.

Yeah I posted about him on another thread. Looks a top prospect. Maybe he will sneak into 21s soon

At one point, I had the following posting ready for Apostle:
" At Hampden it was a Williams who turned the game around. Just over a year later it was another Williams who did so at the Liberty!"
Not meant to be but he was a player who made a big impression for me. There are a handful of players in the u21s who have pace and could slot into the senior team.
I am going to watch this player closer going forward. A season in the Championship could be really good for him!
Love the fact that he has chosen to play for Wales!

He was called up to train with the senior squad for the Iceland game so Coleman is clearly keeping a close eye on him. He must have been impressed with how he ran at defenders last night he seemed very quick and at ease with the ball. Call up him for the Holland game I say.
His mum is welsh apparently.

I think he must get a place on the bench in the qualifier's. He's got that magic to unlock defences

Possibly - but it's a big call for a player who hasn't played any first team football. Having said that, against Andorra he could be handy off the bench. They will probably set up as we did second half last night - 9 men behind the ball, denying space. The likes of Joniesta and George Williams could draw fouls in dangerous positions or penalties by utilising their explosive pace. He definitely looks one for the future, but he needs regular game time, like Wilson, to seriously push for a place.

I would have him on the bench he has shown in the last two weeks that he is a great threat as a sub. Also he has done so against quality in England U21s and Holland. He's very fast and has no fear. I think he would be a great option against the likes of Andorra and Cyrpus in the last 10 minutes.

Just found this short video of him winning, then scoring a penalty for Fulham under 18s. From watching this video, his performance for the under 19s and his senior performance, it seems the pressure doesn't bother him at all at any level, that's a great quality to have. m.youtube.com/watch?v=w-xBfSJtvfY

I hope with Fulham being relegated he'll get his chance - up to him then. The english championship is a great league for attacking players to flourish (albeit not learn how to play against good defences).

He even started the move too. He is so promising but I'll only get excited when he's locked down to us.

I certainly think the point made that we may be the ones trying to break down a 10 man defence. George may well play a part. It is very early in his career but his progression has been considerable this year.

Great finish. It is about 2:30 in. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pygAsbbBwjEDon't know whether this has been posted before. Check ou the ball George plays through for the first goal. George scores the second with a great run through and as for the fourth goal, enjoy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ya7aPUt_5i4

Could well be getting a bit excited? I hope he's a great player but all I have seen him do is have one run against Holland in a Friendly and he clearly doesn't have a confidence issue. Let's hope he does play first team next year and does score a few goals but we have all hyped up many a player to much over the years. Sometimes we do what the English media do on this forum and build up players to much! Sometimes we get it correct such as Bale,Ramsey,Huws and Matthews but I mean Ribeiro,Hewitt,George Higgins,Shaun Macdonald and Andy King(although still good but not as good as we thought he could be) did not become the premiership superstars we thought!
Relax and let the kid have at least one first team game for 90 mins before we dub him the new Bale!

Oh and I also remember when we all used to lose our minds over 17 year old Josh Dawkin. Who remembers him? Made his début for Norwich at 17 we all thought England would steal him! Now plays for Cambridge

I urge Coleman to lock him down now because he will be gone otherwise. Dont give him a chance to think about it. Get him on the bench for the Andorra game and bring him on. We cant afford to lose a rough diamond like him.

Ive just seen the u21s squad and hes not in there or the U19s so im guessing both him and Lawrence are in the seniors. We need to get them both capped. Also a shame Isgrove isnt with the seniors.

From football journo Phil Cadden (@pjcadden) on Twitter:
George Williams, 18, of @fulhamfc and @fawales received an approach by @fa in summer. Williams will be named in Chris Coleman's squad on Wed
Now I thought that there was a gentleman's agreement in place between the home nations that they wouldn't poach a player if one of them had already capped him, even if only in a friendly. Either this isn't the case or the FA ignored it. I queried this as such with Phil via twitter but he didn't reply

Unless anyone knows any different? So when Williams took to the park against the Netherlands, in his mind he would have been committing to Wales. I can't see any danger of him defecting because he's already crossed the mental bridge.

George will stay with us, he's definitely proud to play for us as you can see with his Twitter. Coleman needs to cap him as soon as possible though. We don't have the depth of other nations to gamble.
If Brazil can lose a player to another nation then anything is possible.
