For me it was the Iceland friendly.
There was just something in that air that night. The atmosphere was great despite the Ninian Stand being closed. Bale was awesome that night, Huws was unknown but was quality, Collins got on the score sheet. How we just swept a team away that was in the play-offs for the World Cup was just something else. Just felt so right that night. Singing 'you can shove your f*cking rugby up your arse' on the way out was quality.
I just knew we would do it this time that night, even if it was six months before the campaign began.

Nowhere near that early.
Probably when we beat Belgium at home. Up until that point, I wasn't quite ready to believe we would definitely do it. I believed we would end up in the play-offs and then it was anyone's guess.
Of course, if this had been any campaign prior to the expansion, the play-offs is exactly where we'd mostly likely have ended up. It shows how bloody hard it is going to be qualify for the World Cup.

Israel away. Given automatic qualification for the top 2 and that Israel looked pretty poor and Bosnia had imploded it really looked nailed on after that game that we would finish in the top 2 with Belgium.

Belgium away, the manner of it when previously we would get stuffed convinced me.

Exactly the same for me. I knew we had given ourselves a great chance after the Belgium draw but Isreal away was when I knew we'd be going to France.

After the Israel away game, the headline in the Wales on Sunday was "the night that Wales started to believe". I thought that captured it for me, after the Israel game I really started to believe that we could do it.
After the Belgium game, I celebrated like we had qualified (I think that is why I found the Bosnia game a bit of an anti-climax).

Belgium away, coming out of the best team in the group's home with a point was something probably no other team in Group B was going to do. For me we got our noses in front on that day and haven't looked back.

When the result came through that Israel had lost to Cyprus. Could not sit back until it was 100% certainty I've learned my lessons.

I'm still expecting us to be chucked out on appeal against some trumped up charge once Uefa realise we've qualified

Belgium home secured it for me.. And me. We parred the first 3 games (7 points) and parred the last 4 games (7 points). It was games 4 to 6 where we in effect qualified .... Belgium A, Israel A and Belgium H, taking 7 points. That's why Storm kept telling us we already qualified.

Israel away. That was going to be the real test. Travelling thousands of miles after we hadnt been together in over 4 months to play a (then) in-form team in a hostile environment. A draw would have been a good result and yet we breezed to victory. From that point on it felt destined to happen. I was certain we were going to beat Belgium then in the build up to it as it all fell in to place.

Spent the journey to Belgium home match from North Wales trying to convince my mate that we WOULD need to start looking for a camper van to buy for France, and then sell it when we got back. Spent the journey home trying to get a word in edgeways while he searched for a camper van to buy for France. We were there!!!!

But you know what, never have I done all home games in a campaign from North Wales. Came to first with my daughter, and felt something was happening. 9 hour round trip with horrific traffic. Came back on the Monday solo for lonely drive North after game, but still buzzing, this was the one. It just grew all tournament. Don't know why, but this was meant to be.

I always thought we had a great chance of finishing 3rd but with Bosnia having such a bad start I knew we'd grab top 2 as soon as we stuffed Israel away.

I've always been an optimist, but Belgium away in the last campaign gave me a bit more confidence than usual for this campaign, especially with it being expanded!
I think it was Israel away that convinced me that we would definitely be in France for the euros

Like some have said, Belgium away was the one for me.
I'd never seen a wales away crowd (bearing in mine this wa a Sunday game too) so lively and loud away from home. Also, the amount of flags that were taken to that game was insane. We had half the track full of em! The game was just perfect, players putting their heart and soul into the performance, fans giving it their all back to them, The fella who started the dancing at half time, the dancing at the final whistle to zombie nation... I could go on. What a night that was. Bythgofiadwy!

That night Israel beat Bosnia 3-0, to leave Bosnia stranded on only 2 points after 4 games.Ok, Israel had a maximum of 9 points after 3 games but I never thought they'd last the distance. I always thought splitting Belgium and Bosnia would be key to automatic qualification( and so it proved) and following the results of that night we were already 6 points ahead of the Bosnians.

Half time in Israel. Had an inkling after Brussels that it was ours to lose, but Israel's flat performance in the first half suggested they didn't have it in them to overturn a goal deficit and then we sniffed blood and should have had more in the second half

I said to myself throughout the whole thing that I wouldn't believe it until the famous Q was next to our name on the table. However deep down in my heart I knew after the Israel away game we would have to do some pretty explicit fuck up to not make it. The coach journey back from Haifa to Tel Aviv was a real high for me, we had just gone to the back yard of a team with a perfect record and destroyed them, and from the first whistle to the last it was never in doubt! the next day my dad phoned me from home and said "it looks like we are finally going to do it mate" I couldn't stop smiling, for months I dreaded the 14 hour journey home from Israel but the result made it all worth while, then it was onto Belgium at home which was the icing on the cake. Such a brilliant journey!!

For me after Bale's second and Wales third went in. Would have taken a draw before that game too. Even at 1-0, before the second went in, had not been happy at all and even though, Israel had been poor, just kept thinking if the second and third do not come, they could get a draw here.
