It will be great to see them promoted. I can also see them looking to have Huws back I agree if they get promoted.

A This is Anfield reporter on twitter saying that Ward made his 40th appearance yesterday and has had an 'excellent loan spell'. However, reading the comments below, people think he has good potential (still young for a keeper at 23) but he's not prem quality yet. One said that he doesn't command his area well enough and doesn't come off his line as often as he should. I've also picked up on that on the few times I've seen him. With Hennessey's brilliant form, Ward's probably still a fair bit behind. Hennessey's only 30 so I reckon he'll stay as no1 for another 3-5 years, unless Ward makes makes massive progress before then.

I'm still baffled as to how OFW gets called up when he's been relegated three consecutive seasons now. Swap him with Maxwell who's performed well this season at a much higher level, and for the first time since ever there will be genuine competition for the number one shirt between our top three keepers.

And Adam Davies probably deserves a call as well. I had a look at Barnsley's forum a few weeks ago and he was most of their supporters POTY. Marley Watkins wasn't far behind.

That's all very well, but it gives Hennessey room for complacency when he knows OFW is only in the team for a sing-song.

Definitely on his last legs in the Wales camp. Maxwell and Davies been too good to leave out, never mind both of them in place of someone relegated from the SPL and destined for lower league football next year.

Maxwell saved a penalty yesterday but failed to keep out the second shot out.

Straight red against Cardiff. Clearly had enough of this season.

To get a red card in a dead rubber before the most important games of the season... you have to be pretty stupid.

I wasn't being serious.
Anyway, he'll miss the first leg due to suspension but hopefully he'll be back in the team for the following game. Guess it'll depend on how well his replacement does.

Back in the Huddersfield team tonight. Will he be joining Gunter at Wembley next week?

It's been a very quiet night for Ward until now, but he's just pulled off a really good save against Rhodes in the 104th minute then he was through on goal.

He's just sent them through to the final, saving two from six penalties in the shootout. Not bad!

I'd love a nice Wrexham lad to be our number 1 keeper, but remember that our Wayne is a wee young man of 30 - hopefully with another 50 Welsh caps ahead of him...

Future Wales #1 and I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool played him as 2nd choice next year.

Future Wales #1 and I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool played him as 2nd choice next year. In my opinion he's better off going to Huddersfield for another year. Isn't he currently 3rd or 4th choice at Liverpool? Better to be playing than sitting on the bench.

Huddersfield manager already saying,he will phone Klopp and ask to take Ward on loan for another year. Big call for Hennessy now,out of contract and with Ward maybe playing regularly in the prem,he could be losing the Wales number spot.

Hopefully gets another year on loan at Huddersfield, it makes sense as he gets first team experience in the Premier League, it suits all parties!

Once he has a full season in the prem, we'll have a far better idea on how good he really is. He's done well this season but hasn't been tested all that much - I'm sure he'll have plenty to save in the PL!
