Think I would like to see ash and Rodon start against Slovakia. Mepham still worries me a bit with his decision making.
Going forward Mepham and Rodon could be a good pairing and Lockyer might provide decent back up.

I agree regarding the Ash/Rodon combo, made that suggestion after the Azerbaijan game.
As long as he gets minutes and matches under his belt I dont see any reason why Giggs shouldn't start him- being our captain and all that.
The only negative comments from his debut on the weekend were people saying he lacked a bit of pace and look a bit rusty, which is not surprising when he hasn't been playing.
Mepham to me reminds me of Neil Taylor, looks a bit nervy at times, and probably has a calamity up his sleeve.

Would like to see Chester/Rodon partnership.

Chester/Rodon would be the ideal, but no one knows whether chester has or will ever get over his injury, so I'm not holding out much hope. I know chester's back in training, but he's stated that he's going to have to manage his injury for the rest of his career, so he's possibly not going to be the same player.

Sad that only 6 months ago we were talking of having 4 quality defenders to potentially choose from in Williams, Chester and then Mepham/Rodon.
With Chester potentially becoming unavailable and Williams, who I still think is good enough btw, playing less, we could be very soon back down to 2!
Lockyer is a very good backup though.

I dont think Chester will be ready for October and fear we wont see him in a welsh shirt very often

I read a post Angel Rangel put up a while ago, he was saying how he's still fit and playing at 36, and people have been tellimg him his career is over since he was 32.
I'm not sure theres much evidence that veganism would improve fitness, but you're more likely to consume more fruit and veg as a vegan, which is good for your health.
I won't diss it though, whatever works for each person and all that.

Many pro athletes talk of increased energy level when they adopt a vegan diet, if it works then why not?
Massive respect for Ash doing whatever is necessary to prolong playing for Cymru.

I have recently gone meat free and I can say that it definitely weighs you down less after a meal.

Interesting. I am mostly vegetarian/vegan these days. Not sure if it really benefits you more than being a meat eater.

Neil Robinson (Swansea 79-84) was a vegan, I believe. Very unusual for the time and supposedly the first pro footballer to be one. Had one of the best engines I've seen. Don't think it's for everyone. Individual diets are the future, I believe, as everyone reacts differently to different foods. Some are even OK on a meat only diet. Interesting programme on R4 about it recently. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0006sgv

Williams to start if fit in Slovakia Probably with Rodon for me. It's a shame that both prefer playing on the left side, but ash has done a tidy job on the other side before.

It's good to see him performing to a good standard again. Has to start next game if this continues. We need his experience and leadership badly.

If Ash doesn't start against Azerbaijan, I'd say his Wales career is unfortunately over.
He was IMMENSE yesterday, and if Giggs doesn't think he's better than one of 1) Unfit Mepham or 2) Lockyer then he'll never get a look in again, once Rodon is back.
GOT. TO. START!
