Another idea would be to give more points for home and away friendlies as these are rarely sold out to boost loyalty I think that the final idea of @garywilliams is an excellent one, as well as making sure at least one friendly a year (with loyalty points) is played up North, as so many of our brethren there end up spending so much money on transport to Cardiff to 'home' games that it is often cheaper for them to follow us abroad (with cheap flights out of Liverpool/Manchester). We need to remember that not many young / new 'blood' fans will actually have the financial means nor time off work to follow our away game in Moldova, so an allocation of 600 to that game is very realistic. (Its on a Tuesday evening with the only direct flights being out of London)... Nonetheless, if we win our first three games (away to Austria AND home to Georgia and Serbia) I can't see there being a huge demad for our Dublin game in March - especially if Ireland loose a few points on their own tricky fixtures (away to Serbia and Austria)...

I know some people would like FAW to spend more on ticketing from windfall from EUROs
Myself i would like FAW to give grants to Wrexham so they can get the place upto standrad so we can play there again and also a grant to Cardiff to put another tier on main grandstand
So more chance for N wales fans to see wales play without travelling as far and also more seats to meet demand when we play in Cardiff
Both these will generate more money for FAW and clubs so retaining money in football unlike returning to millennium which will put money in WRU coffers

Maybe I am wrong but somehow doubt that there will be thousands of fans looking to go to away games.

Maybe I am wrong but somehow doubt that there will be thousands of fans looking to go to away games. I have a Dream ... Our penultimate match in Tbilisi on 6 October 2017 will be our new Bosnia ... but this time we qualify while winning AND taking 3000 delirious fans over there ... ...You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one ...

Could someone give me an indication of when away fixture tickets are likely to go on sale for each of the matches. Hope to be able to go to a few matches.
Thanks J

Thanks J Usually a couple of weeks before the game You should expect to get a non committal email from the FAW about a week after our Moldova game inquiring if you are likely to purchase a ticket, so that they will be able to gauge the demand. Be sure to add your name to their email newsletter list.

I am what some will consider a bandwaggoner but want to get some matches under my belt, win, lose or draw. Th handful of away games I have been to were great. J

Yep although Serbia didn't play any of their Euro 2016 quals at Red Star stadium, according to wiki they will also host Austria at the Red Star stadium 3 days after our visit to Vienna.

I think Red Star stadium is 50k plus so would be ideal. Why do you think it will be there Manulike?

Can't post a link as on my phone but there is a website that says international away allocations are normally around 3000 in the upper corner tier. 3000 will be enough for us I'd have thought.

No sign of any hooligan problems? I would like to go to Serbia but am quite wary seeing as they have a bit of a history of disorder over there.

In Novi Sad the waiter in hotel said that we shouldn't wear colours on match day, but we didn't have a problem. We ended up in pub outside the home end and then walked the length of the ground to our end, didn't have or see any problems.

As far as I am aware, FIFA (as opposed to UEFA) has no recommended 5% allocation. Nonetheless, the 5% guideline is usually accepted and followed by both sides, unless there is an obvious need to come to another arrangement. eg. perhaps with ROI, as there is talk of increasing this possibly to 6 or 7% ?

I was reading that the official recommendation by the IFA for their away trip in September is no team shirts and to keep as low a profile as possible. The fans on their forum are talking about 300 to 400 away support! Looking forward to hearing a full report from oscardelta

... just re-read through Corky's initial post on this thread and he clarifies that:
"It is possible to get more than 5% but not less unless there are severe police and security issues".

It's on a website where they say the usual away allocation is 3000 perhaps the stadium layout allows for 3000. Anyway think that will be more than enough for us.

I agree with this comment and have been there 3 times now. You should be reassured that the police will not let anything happen to you in the centre of Belgrade. By the way a morning or afternoon out is to go to the the two major football grounds and Titles mausoleum and museum.
