Got 3 tickets in Block F1-D row 10.. see you all there! Was that through the Austrian FA mate? Must be, as only the Austrian site specifies the block and row. FAW only said Vienna4 or Vienna5 etc. Block F1-D row 10 is a decent location

Only 1 ticket per membership. Doesn't matter if you were stage 1, 2 or 3 Also it's not a free for all as was open to members only Given membership is a trivial £10 it is effectively a free-for-all in my view. It was more can it be re-assigned, if you take my meaning, through that fan exchange thing? I disagree. We have had the same cost for membership for a number of years. It is only since the last campaign that the system has began to be over subscribed. We have only sold out 2 away games since the process has been in place (this game is now the 3rd) It's the same for any event (be it sport, music etc) demand can outstrip the number of tickets especially when an event is popular. At least the FAW do reward the regular Wales followers by having a system in place. It's great to see numbers following Wales again.

So gutted I missed out on tickets. Once again the website is a complete joke. Was looking forward to visiting Vienna for the 2nd time (went on my 15th birthday, 11 years ago:-) ).
Seriously though, the FAW and Ticketmaster really need to look at this system because it's a complete and utter shambles.

May i recommend buying a ticket on the Austrian site, ensuring that you are there to support the boys. If, however, the FAW secures another small quota of tickets, than ALSO buy one of these, which will gain you the points. I am sure that there will be ticket-less Welshmen out there who will thank you for your spare ticket!

Can't see how it can be credited to your membership? I've you've got travel and accom booked it's definitely worth the risk. Up to you though.

Selling the thick end of 400 tickets in 8 minutes is pretty good going by any standards. There's no system that can sell tickets they don't have. You may argue that the system of allocation by the FA wasn't fair but I thought it was as a good as it could have been and certainly better than it seemed at time for the last qualifiers. I didn't take a ticket although I would have qualified in phase 1. Ireland is going to be a nightmare unless the allocation is 10.000. It'll probably be 2.5 - 3 thousand with the rest in the bars. Serbia and Georgia will be no problem as far as the allocation is concerned but they're both a little difficult to get to. Moldova very small allocation and travel aggro.

Cheers pal. Will look into this when I get home. Make the whole block the de facto Welsh end! Great stuff, can you let us know how you get on? I can't see why it wouldn't work. If it takes your payment, then there should be no reason for any Wales fans who missed out via the FAW to be disappointed. All sorted now. It's very simple, basically the same as booking tickets for any match in this country (just have to pay more for delivery). Obviously I won't get points for this match or be with the bulk of the away supporters, but to be honest getting to see the team in action is my main priority! Would be great to see plenty of Welsh red around the place. I'm in Block: F1 - D, Row: 11.

Sadly, my start date for my new job is on the 3rd October, go figure. I'd asked if I could start later but to no avail. That means I've got flights with Ryanair from London to Bratislava return, which would be a £110 name change and £30 for the actual tickets (below face value). Also, I've got a bus from Bratislava to Vienna and back with Leigh James as well. If any of you want part or all of this, just give me a message, someone should enjoy it.

I don't think it should be too long. There's no customs faff to get through, and the Royal Mail say a similar package going from UK to Austria would take 3-5 days. DHL should be fairly swift. I'm flying out to Vienna a fortnight today, I imagine they'll arrive with a few days to spare.

Austria tickets SOLD OUT We visited the Austrian FA yesterday and asked if it was possible to get some more tickets for our fans, we put up a good case with Lucy trying to secure the extras. It wont be straight forward because Austria expect to sell out but there is a possibility, don't give up yet, keep checking for updates on here or the FAW website. This is what corky said... less than an hour after tickets were sold out. Even before sleepy helpfully found the direct link to the Austrian FA etc!

Just been looking at the stadium plan on the Austrian FA site and there are seats available at 30 Euros throughout the F1 and F2 sections and makes you wonder why the Welsh FA weren't given a bigger allocation.Suppose Austrian FA had to stick rigidly to FIFA's 5% rule.

The question is where in the stadium will the extra tickets be ? Considering Austria have started selling all the areas around the welsh fans to home supporters

Suppose Austrian FA had to stick rigidly to FIFA's 5% rule.According to Corky's explanation, the 5% is only a minimum requirement. It is up to the competing teams in every match to set a higher percentage if mutually acceptable. There is a suggestion that we might agree a 7% with Ireland and there was talk of England and Scotland agreeing a 10%

The question is where in the stadium will the extra tickets be ? Considering Austria have started selling all the areas around the welsh fans to home supporters I can't categorically say, but it appears to me that we got F3-G, F3-F, F1-E and most of F3-D. These are the upper most areas, just under the huge electronic score-board. That is where the Irish fans were placed in 2013. I didn't go in 2005 to our last one against them... There is a function when you use sleepy link to choose your own on the interactive chart. Just to the right and just above the drop down menu. I would suggest, currently going for F2 block might be closest to the bulk of the Welsh support. Probably F2-D is the best on offer at moment. Just a learned guess, though ...

Fairly sure we were in sektor F in 2005 too but not sure of which blocks. I think we took around about 1500 to 2000.

I suspect the criteria will change for Ireland, maybe the last 4 away games? As we should also have at least 2,600 allocation for the Ireland game, I see no reason why we can't stick to the exact same criteria? Don't even think we need to up it to last 3 aways for stage 1 - just leave it at last two. Only game where I can imagine the criteria being last 5 aways (out of 9) would be Moldova, I suppose?
