Hammered 5-1 by the hosts Georgia
Keeper sent off at 4-0 and O'Sullivan scored a late consolation
With the Dutch also in the group qualification hopes look remote

More terrible results under Geraint Williams.
Very poor considering the squad looks good on paper. Also, the first time I can recall in a while that a senior cap has played for the 19s. The last time was Adam Matthews under Flynn I think. 5-1 to Georgia is shocking I'm sorry!!

Jones misses a good chance for Wales, Dutch getting more into it now though with a few dangerous chances of their own - still 0-0 after 35 mins.

Half-time, 0-0. A much improved performance it seems with Wales on the whole matching the Dutch and honours even at halfway.
Wales: Chances - 5 On-Target - 2 Dangerous attacks - 10
Netherlands: Chances - 6 On-Target - 2 Dangerous attacks - 15

Hour gone, Wales on top so far in 2nd half.
Wolves' Declan Weeks comes on to replace Wrexham's Rob Evans.

Full-time...
Wales: Chances - 6 On-Target - 3 Dangerous attacks - 15
Netherlands: Chances - 11 On-Target - 2 Dangerous attacks - 30
Only 1 clear-cut chance each.
The Dutch had the better of posession over the 90 mins but had little end product. Wales did well however and seemed to be in the game creating the odd chance throughout.

Good to see the Cardiff and Swansea players, doesn't change the fact Cardiff don't have one player in the senior squad and I believe there were not any in the U21s last time either.
Hopefully we can have another few coming through by I doubt Cardiff are prepared to give youngsters a chance

There seems to be a pattern with Geraint Williams' youth teamy- concede 5 goals in a game, then follow it up with some defensive solidity! ...U21s lose 5-1 to Finland, then follow that up by conceding only 1 in the next 4 games (albeit that 1 was in a shameful loss to San Marino) ...U17s draw 5-5 with Hungary, then draw 1-1 (or was it 0-0)with Scotland and then beat host nation Slovenia 3-0. ...u19s lose 5-1 to Georgia, then follow it up with a highly creditable 0-0 vs Holland. Weird.

Good player. Talked about him to a lot of City fans who say he is a very good young player.

Wales U19 beat Moldova 6-0, and Georgia beat Netherlands 2-1. Wales qualify to next stage in second place on goals scored! fantastic!
Well done to Geraint Williams who seems to be doing good jobs at 21, 19 and 17s level now.

Qualified ahead of the dutch on goals scored, don't think we have done that before at any level.
Hopefully he will get all the players qualified for the u19s to play in the next round, including Harry Wilson

This is real character to get over the 5-0 loss against Georgia. Lets hope that BBC Wales, ITV Wales & S4C all cover this story. I have just sent some tweets and hope others do the same.
