Has anyone else with multiple tournament tickets received them all at the same address but in different envelopes? Madness! Yep and they all came addressed to the same name in our case.

So that leaves our CB options as Williams, Chester, Lawrence and Lockyer?

This is getting ridiculous. What does Giggs have against Rodon? Don't panic, I think Giggs just wants Rodon to be playing consistent football at the moment. He has senior players in the squad that he can use at CB. Rodon will get game time with the u21s. I imagine once Rodon has had a full season under his belt he will regularly be getting into the squad, and then he will be ready to compete for a starting spot. I know we have been blessed with the amount of youngsters we have taking to international football like a duck to water. However, we have to be patient with a few, and I trust Giggs to be acting in the best interests of these players.

I can understand Giggs thinking we've got more than enough cover at centre back, given that besides the out and out centre backs in Chester, Williams, Lawrence and Lockyear we've got Dummett, Gunter and Ampadu who have experience playing at the heart of the defence. With Taylor being a bit of doubt it makes sense to have more cover at full-back, in the form of Freeman.
Having said all that it's worth noting Rodon's capabilities. Rodon has probably been Swansea's best player this season - certainly whoscored.com indicate so - with an average statistical score of 7.22, Swansea's best (and 18th overall in the Championship). Connor Roberts, in comparison, is Swansea's fourth best player with a score of 7.07 (46th in the Championship). The highest ranked Championship-based Welsh player is Joel Lynch with a score of 7.32 and 9th best in the Championship. James Chester is the third highest ranked Welsh Championship player(edit: alongside Andrew Hughes), behind Lynch and Rodon, with Allen, Wilson and Lee Evans all further back on 6.98. Mepham's score is 6.96. Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor are further down the rankings.
I don't want to put too much emphasis on these stats - but they do at least give a reasonable indicator of form. In Rodon's case what's remarkable about him is his consistency. He's had one or two indifferent games, but he hasn't had a single bad game and several excellent ones. He simply looks a class act. Strong in the air (6' 4"), quick across the ground, not afraid of a tackle, and very composed in possession. He's not averse to bring the ball out from the back, often advancing deep into opposition territory where he doesn't panic and makes sure his pass finds a team-mate. He reminds me of John Stones when he burst onto the scene. It's also worth remembering that Rodon captained the Welsh U21s when he played alongside Mepham. Had Swansea been a Championship side last season under Potter's stewardship I suspect Rodon would have stolen a march on Mepham.
As it is Rodon just needs to bide his time. As long as he sustains his form for Swansea the case for him to take Lockyear's place will become compelling. In the meantime it would be good to hear something from Giggs that shows that he's aware of what a talent is emerging in the Swansea ranks. From what I've heard Giggs hasn't been to the Liberty this season - which is disappointing given the emergence of Rodon, Roberts and James. Giggs has done a good job so far, but he can enhance his reputation by showing that he's taking an active interest in emerging Welsh talent.

He may well have. In which case it would be good PR for him to publicise the fact. Any international manager's selection decisions are going to come under close scrutiny - and the best way to justify them is to show that you know your players' capabilities inside out.

Dafydd Pritchard (BBC) has reported that Rodon picked up an injury in the last Swans game, so let's not go up in arms about his non-selection just yet...

Strange that the first reaction was we all thought it was a snub or Giggs had something against Rodon rather than the far more likely, though slightly more boring, reason that Rodon is injured Though a statement or press release saying that Rodon is injured would have prevented this

Never mind about some rookie centre half who was going to sit on the bench all evening, does anyone know if one of the world’s greatest players trained today at all?

Alright lads. An Irish fan here! I come in peace haha. Just wondering did anyone while in Aarhus find anywhere selling match day pin badges? And if ya did could you point out where or roughly where.
Sorry this is your Denmark home thread, couldn’t find the away thread.
Cheers guys.

Sorry this is your Denmark home thread, couldn’t find the away thread. Cheers guys. I try and pickup a pin badge whilst away and didn’t see any. We have a usual badge seller, “Billy the Badge” and didn’t see him either! It’s much smaller than Copenhagen so not very touristy (despite having a few American cruise ships in town who thought we were the players!) I liked it there though, compact city, plenty of bars and ground walking distance away.
