I take it Eriksen will be back for this one? It's tempting to say man mark him but he could drag one of our midfielders all over the shop leaving large gaps for others. He is notoriously difficult to pick up but we need to be a bit more savvy this time around. For the goal there were 3 players looking at each other as if to say 'he's yours aint he?' Allen, Chester and Ampadu I think.

I hope Giggs has learned from the relative success of the Ireland games and the misadventures of the Danish and Spanish games.
I feel he needs to be bold and renew his faith in the youngsters once more.

It won't sell out in seconds. We're talking a Wales match on a Friday night and not Glastonbury.
I am going but haven't organised travel yet. Just an Airbnb room in Canton!

Like I said we had more at the Spain game, where have these fans gone. - maybe didn't enjoy game - maybe didn't enjoy the poisonous atmosphere. Or may be don't realise the importance. Personally can't wait could be a cracker

Personally can't wait could be a cracker It is important, but it's not THAT important. The most important part was to get in the 2nd pot of seeds for the main draw. And this is 100% guaranteed already regardless of the result v Denmark. It would be great to also guarantee a playoff spot by winning the group. Yet even 2nd place in the group will give us a very good chance of a playoff. It would be nice to win the group and get promoted for the next Nations League.

It's a massive game
We are guaranteed 4 cracking games if we go up and will have an additional chance of qualifying for the Euros.

It will sell out this week probably. Why it appears less attractive than he Spain friendly. Novelty of Spain Novelty of playing back at the Principality Original marketing of the competition as a replacement for friendlies It is however a big fixture though despite pot 2 in the Decembers draw guaranteed and a play off spot all but guaranteed. It could even have a bearing on the next world cup qualification draw. A favourable draw for the Euros and more importantly a favourable schedule gives us a realistic chance of pot 1 for the world cup qualification draw in July 2019. We have 6 games before that draw that will count towards our ranking. A good set of results in those 6 games and it could be close. We're 12th in Europe at present but its very tight. I know being in pot 1 last time went tits up but without doubt it gave us our best qualification for many a tournament. Getting in pot 1 has to be our best chance of making it to a finals of the world cup

I would agree that it is our most important game of the 4 Nations League matches. But it is far less important than any of our last 7 WC2018 qualifiers (i.e. from Serbia home in Nov 2016 to the end of the campaign) So if this game is massive, what were the last 7 WC2018 qualifiers?

Its the biggest game of 2018 and biggest game in Giggs' reign so far.
We get a chance to potentially move to pot 1 for the WC qualifiers, big pay day (£1.5m if we win the group), chance for promotion to play with the big boys and sell outs and guarantee home advantage for the play-offs if needed.

Just summed it up nicely.
Plus we'll move up the rankings by beating a team above us for the first time since Belgium at the Euros.

If Ericksen plays we have to properly take account of his abilities. Man marking is a bit old hat, but playing a sweeper Ampadu or Allen) in front of the back four in a 4-1-4-1, or similar, might be a better way of going. What we can't allow to happen is giving the space for Ericksen to slip between the lines unnoticed, as happened last time.

Agree about the significance of this fixture.
However, with Eriksen back in the mix, I'd take a draw. (Not saying we should play for one)
2 wins, 1 draw & 1 loss...... I'd have bitten your hand off for that at the start of the campaign.

But a massive game. Not a chance, IMO.

I'd have bitten your hand off for that at the start of the campaign. Very big game that I can't wait for. It all plays a big knock on effect for future rankings and seeding, and we should be looking to win. The beauty of this game though is that we have nothing to lose and everything to gain, so let's go for it. Denmark on the other hand can still get relegated, so pressure is on them. See no reason why we shouldn't be going for the win assuming we are close to full strength. In think Denmark are slightly overrated personally. If we want to kick on we should be beating them at home. Minimising Eriksen is the key obviously.

I agree. I think a win will be tough but not impossible. We have home advantage, Cardiff will be bouncing and we've guaranteed pot 2 status, so we may as well go for it. We don't fare so well when we play hard to get, with a draw. So, I say if we're close to full strength, let them get out there and give it everything they've got. Contrary to what others are saying on here, I don't think Denmark will go out to win this one. They're very tactically shrewd. I reckon they'll play it safe and take their chances when/ if they come (like they did in Dublin) and aim to hammer the Irish at home.

AS previously mentioned, I think a lot will depend on Eriksen ( his fitness and form ). If he's not 100% in both then there's no reason we can't defeat Denmark with a full strength squad. Their a tough nut to crack but no France.

Poor effort, considering how important the game is. More interest for the friendly with Spain 3 main factors I guess - fans don't realise the importance - more attractive opposition - pull of the Millennium stadium Mind you to get a sell out compared to 5 years ago is a massive improvement Spain was always going to be a bigger pull than many teams
poor effort? the stadium is almost a sell out,
most football fans do know how important it is. the spectators probably wont
dont think the MS would attract many more the average spectator saw a thumping and put them of for a cold november so called glorified friendly

The poor effort is we are strugling to sell out.
Compared to 5 yrs ago it's an amazing effort but if you compare to last attendance it's poor.
Think this game would of got 50,000 at millennium, whether that is better or worse is a different argument
Anyway really looking forward to it

There's some form off egg-wresting event on at the MS on the Saturday after the Denmark match, for those who casually follow both codes (not me) could this have slowed the ticket sales process? Also we are now at the start of a new calendar month which affects wages, monthly family budgets etc and there have been quite a few Wales games recently , home and away, and Albania. Still looks like it's going to be a sell out, let's roar Wales to victory, as we owe the Danes a fair bit of pay back!!

Im not bothered how long it takes to sell out, as long as we keep getting 25,000 or upwards is great considering where we used to be. Some people plan things like how and when they going to buy tickets differently, knowing they got longer to get them.
