Perhaps we could play Kosovo at Wrexham? I would love that and it would be the perfect match to play up in Wrexham, but I don't know if the ground is ready. If it isn't, Swansea and Llanelli are our other options outside of Cardiff. It doesn't make a lot of sense to play a low key friendly in Cardiff right now.

Can they at to same capacity as Wrexham games ? How many staying areas is there? With out researching and looking back what is the situation with the ground.

Swansea & Parc Y Scarlets should never host a Wales game again after previous no-show attendances there. There should be no reconciliation now they're a mid-table Championship side and looking for something grander, the next big thing etc.

The Liberty is still a nice stadium.

We only had 13,000 against Panama and that was Coleman's last game.
Think the Liberty should be given another chance but not Llanelli ever again.

I'd be happy with a friendly in Llanelli. Simply because I've never been to the stadium and I don't really fancy going to watch the scarlets to tick it off my list!
I think the last time we played there I was working in Shrewsbury for a couple of days and couldn't make it to Llanelli so ended up watching the U21s against Armenia at Wrexham instead, with around 50 others..

Horrible place to watch a game, think it was Bosnia. May not bother if we play there

Presume idea of a friendly is to give the TEAM a run out rather than assauge fans who want to see it played in a stadium round the corner from home.

As you Irish know it's about making money as well
Parc y scarlets is fairly easy to get to for me but a horrible place to watch football.
Don't see your lot leaving Dublin do you

Now I'm intrigued.. Why is it horrible? Would it still be horrible if it was sold out and a good atmosphere from the fans, or is it that it has poor views of the pitch or stands too far from the action?

It was an absolutely dismal place to watch Wales, with perhaps 5,000 the best attendance - atmosphere was non-existent, no sense of occasion. Would be interesting if the place was full. Or why not try the Liberty again as it's easier for most to get to

Granted though, not the most conducive opposition to generate an atmosphere at Parc y Scarlets, which in itself is a decent stadium but highly unlikely that it will get an opportunity to stage a 'meaningful' game which would draw the crowds. It may be slightly different these days given the quality of players potentially available but would the FAW risk it...doubtful.

Bearing in mind 1 Soccer stadium that can take decent number then no reason to.

Would it not help smaller clubs to stage a friendly and generate income which could help with their stadium etc. Why not Newport Wrexham Merthyr etc. Would not be big capacity but we would not fill ccs on not so glamourous team

It’s also close enough to Cardiff. If the Racecourse is not up to standard I doubt Penydarren Park is. I hope the FAW are seriously looking into what we can do to bring Wrexham up to standard so friendlies can be played there. My gut feeling though is they will have to get promoted first and develop it themselves or other clubs may start asking for the same support.

Liberty is the only viable option other than Cardiff at the moment.

Could,nt we play one of the South American teams (Brazil/Argentina) in London?
The new spurs ground maybe open before then.
