If you're flying to Cardiff then the bus between the airport and town is free on weekends. (Drops off Canal St. Opposite the Marriott) #T9. Every 30mins.

Squad concerns ahead of Slovakia: Not starting regularly: Hennessey Ash Mepham Gunter Ramsey Ampadu Currently injured: Brooks Davies Chester Hopefully they all recover and we have no new injuries between now and then. Five weeks and counting. A bit worrying...

Too early to count but large chunks of the cheaper tickets in the upper tier and family stand have been sold since I last checked on Saturday. So sales going well so far, plenty of posts on Facebook by the FAW.

I see we still have a couple of hundred tickets left at the Grange end. May I suggest that Albert Stuivenberg takes them with him on his next visit to see FC Twente and hands them out to their ultra wonderful fans ;-)

Five weeks and counting. It has its plus and minuses, at least those not starting regularly are less likely to get injured I suppose! I wonder if we can categorise Bale as not being a regular starter, seeing as he has started 2 out of 5 of Real Madrid's last games? Again, it has its benefits and its disadvantages, especially when it comes to Bale! I'm not too worried about Rambo not being a regular starter atm and Meps is starting to get the run around for Bournemouth. Ash is a worry and especially so Gunter (if he starts). Ampadu has proven himself previously but maybe Smith currently edges him in that department. Hope Ampadu gets a loan move abroad sometime soon for his personal development. Hopefully, Brooksy will be back before the Slovakia game 👍

My team fitness permitting Hennessey Roberts Davies Mepham Chester Ampadu Allen Ramsey Wilson Bale Brooks Options on bench in attack Lawrence Vokes Matondo Presumably Chester is at CB but agreed. Think Chester may be suffering with an injury which could be an issue. Williams or Lawrence would fill in. Other than that, that would be my starting 11. That attacking 4 could be absolutely lethal, only question is, who's on free kicks haha.

My team fitness permitting Hennessey Roberts Davies Mepham Chester Ampadu Allen Ramsey Wilson Bale Brooks Options on bench in attack Lawrence Vokes Matondo I would do the same, but drop Ramsey deeper into a midfield 3. Interestingly, the Juve manager recently came out saying that ramsey's hardly ever been deployed in his proper position for arsenal as he's always a 10 or one of two in midfield. The juve manager described him as an '8', which is someone who plays deeper but with the freedom to advance and make those late runs into the box. That's where I'd like to see him for us.

I agree with this. My team as it stands would be; Hennessey Roberts Mepham Williams Davies Allen Ampadu Ramsey Brooks Bale Wilson Allen + Ampadu can sit, giving Ramsey the freedom to get forward. Bale, Brooks & Wilson all interchanging as a fluid fromt 3. The other left field option is Ampadu at CB instead of Williams, and Smith in the midfield, although I think we need the experience at the back for this one vs the likes of Hamsik.

If we're playing 4-3-3 we need our midfield 3 to stay narrow and stay in position. This is where we have messed up big time under giggs but what Liverpool do expertly. It would probably be Ramsey, Allen and Ampadu. Of the 3, it is Ramsey's positioning that most concerns me.

Really.
Your more worried about one of our best ever midfielders than a 18 year old rookie

Really. Your more worried about one of our best ever midfielders than a 18 year old rookie Positional discipline, I did specify what my concern was in the post. This again is where we've been letting ourselves down under Giggs, the middle of the park. Leaving our back 4 to fend for itself leaves us wide open if/when we lose the ball in the opposition half.

I believe Williams and Mepham both prefer playing left sided centre half, but Ash did alright on the right side vs Ireland.

I Think it's the most important game of this qualifying competition. Get off to a flying start with a win and we're on the front foot, with Slovakia under pressure already scrambling for points. Lose, and I think we'll have a mountain to climb to qualify.

A win against the Slovaks is vital.

It's a long way back from there.
