Venue tbc - I assume Wrexham so long as the logistics all go well in March and that the game is well received there (it will sell out)

Scarlets will have started their season so that seems unlikely to me. Wrexham seems the favourite in my view, with it suiting Giggs logistically.

A few days down the Mumbles sound alright - especially after the kids are safely tucked away in school ;-)

It would be nice to see Wrexham get another game. Perhaps it'll hasten the very much needed re-development. One can only hope.

I’ll be getting ready to chase the egg in Japan by then. Not that I was ever going to come over for a friendly from Guatemala anyway.
I fly 1st Class Guatemala- Los Angeles-Tokyo on Sept 13th

I would expect the Liberty, but if demand is unprecedented for the TT game in Wrexham they may have to play it there again to meet demand IMO which would be fair

I may be biased, but attendances have been pretty disappointing for every match played in Swansea. Its even more awkward to get to than Cardiff if you live in north Wales.

Just before getting to the ground last night I was listening to Radio Wales' coverage of the game, and they had an incandescent Jamie on, moaning about the absence of Bale, and how they might as well have played the game in Cardiff. At the time I laughed, but on reflection I have a bit of sympathy. Yes Giggs was right to prioritise the Slovakia game, and if circumstances were a bit different with injuries we would have seen stronger players getting game time. But I can also understand why those who don't follow the national team closely might feel short-changed. The disappointment for the kids must have been particularly strong - although savvy parents would have forewarned them about the likely lineup.
I think the FAW owes north Wales the Belarus friendly. Given the timing of the match near the start of the season, and the relative quality of the opposition, we will probably be able to put out a stronger lineup on that occasion. It's the least the north Wales public deserve, after waiting 11 years, only for a B team to turn up.

Maybe Wrexham couldn't guarantee the stadium on that date.
As they have no Welsh players they would not be able to call off their game which might be at home.
Time to give out tickets to the schools as much as I hate that atmosphere

Really poor decision. I guess the justification would be that they would have to up sticks from South to North after the Azerbaijan game. Not that that is a valid reason. Own goal after fielding a B side in Wrexham after giving every impression that a stronger side would take the field.

I could forgive them if the friendly was played before the Azerbaijan game in order to maximise their chances of securing a favourable result. If Giggs wants to limit the chances of injury before the next competitive match after that, then he wouldn't necessarily need to play the strongest side for the full 90 minutes. I won't travel to Cardiff just for a friendly, and I really enjoyed the last one in Wrexham. It's also an opportunity for parents to bring their kids, where they might otherwise not get the chance.
