I love the roar from the crowd when the ball is near him, he had both full backs in trouble, Gomez having to bring him down and get booked and Tsimikas getting totally done by him for the chance they should have scored. Johnson and Forest are a match made in heaven right now, I hope he stays there for a few seasons to develop.

Watched most of the match. Had a quiet game overall, but could have had 2 assists if it weren't for poor finishing from other players. Has a great delivery on him, and can be very clever on the ball.

Agree with a couple of the comments that he was fairly quiet. Even still, the quality on the delivery for that massive chance was top level, and he managed to set up one or two others. So not bad at all against one of the best sides around.

Up against one of the best sides in the World and didn't look like he didn't belong there, he was a menace and if the right finish was applied people would be raving about the way he had Tsimikas on toast and the delivery that followed.

Heavily linked with West Ham. If there's one club in the top half of the Premier League table where I think Brennan could flourish it's West Ham. If you have lots of energy, pace and don't give in Moyes can take you to another level or two. If he was linked with Spurs, Arsenal or Man Utd I'd be half writing his career off but look at Jared Bowen and Michail Antonio, rough diamonds from the lower leagues that Moyes shaped into top level players. I know Antonio was at West Ham years before Moyes arrived but he was never the animal that Moyes has made him into. Moyes has also resurrected the career of Manuel Lanzini and turned Pablo Fornals into a very very good midfielder, he's even got Benrahma working hard. If the Hammers get in Europe again Brennan should get games, especially if Yarmolenko leaves at the end of the season. All this said, I'd rather he stay at Forest for another few seasons and help take them up with Cooper whilst becoming a massive cult hero in the process, there's nothing better than seeing a young player come through, tear it up, form a special bond with the fans and stay longer than expected, it's arguably the most beautiful thing in club football.

Imo if he’s as good as everyone says he is then he should be stepping up fairly promptly to test himself. He could be a first teamer in a bottom third prem side as it stands and play every week. West Ham would be a risk in the same way that any young player moving to a team in the upper echelons is likely to be buying for the future so he might struggle to play regularly initially before being released and tumbling back down, as can happen. Although I take the point on the development of players at West Ham. A team like Leeds would be well suited imo.

He might be playing for Forest in the PL next season. We'll have a better view if he will or not, late April I'd imagine.

Nah, I can’t see it, especially after the way in which they beat Wolves. It’s 3 from Burnley/Everton/Norwich/Watford imo

Interested to see Brennan’s second, sounds like a cracker

Watching the game and fuck me Brennans really is the real deal isn’t he? It’s Neco, Ampadu and him in the next generation of stars. Wasn’t really buying it 9 months ago thought we’d have a good player like Tyler Roberts or Matondo but we’ve got a top 6 premiership star. I hope Dortmund are watching ready to do what they do best. I think if Forest go you he will stay with them and then in January 2023 if it’s after a World Cup he will have lots of admirers.

Leverkusen and Wolfsburg on the other hand have an assembly line of top youth talents.

Both goals were classy! The second has to be the better of the two though, as that's the finish of an elite player www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej42SFI7J0Q&ab_channel=SkySportsFootball

Blackpool are no Scotland or Ukraine but he’s a star. Would you start him before James? James had a off night against Austria but he still got goals and assists in the campaign.

Even in the ‘split striker’ formation. DJ plays on the left and Brennan does his damage on the right. Brennan extremely unlucky but I’d have him as the first attacking sub. Dan James’ work-rate is priceless imo.
