We looked a lot better once subs were made, so lucky to have Bale and Ramsey. We're pretty bang average without those 2 |

Very hard to swallow, but it’s fantastic that we’re giving the Dutch this kind of game on their own turf. We’ve reached a consistent level of being a good competitive team now, and it’s amazing.
It was not quite as disappointing a goal to concede as the home game- there was no clear opportunity there to ‘take one for the team’ as it were without simply conceding a penalty due to the long ball.
There were moments of magic, and to cope like they did with going two goals down in a short space of time was testament to our cemented position as a proper team. I think we are now where we want to be over a prolonged period of time.

The touch, movement, strength & composure of ALL their players is miles ahead of where we are. How many loose balls & 50/50s did we win tonight. None. 2-2 would have been an injustice. 3-2 flatters us. |
