Can't find a thread for him, but he's starting at Anfield for Cardiff in the cup. CM in a midfield 3

First start in the championship tonight against Coventry. Live on Sky Anyone watching - I would love to know how he gets on Poor game, poor cardiff performance, and if I'm honest, apart from one excellent Vaulks through ball which created cardiff's only chance in the half, all three Welsh boys have been poor. Davies has given the ball away way too much, and King hasn't shown a lot in that half. The two young boys can obviously be forgiven as they're still learning, but if you're after an honest opinion, that's how I saw it anyway.

King played it safe
I'd love to know what Bowen's done to piss Morison off, he's a much better player than King/Vaulks but has fallen off the first team radar entirely

Cardiff win tonight moves them closer to the top 6 than the bottom 3. Seems our group of promising youngsters will continue to be playing Championship football next season. Some promising comments like this coming from Morrison too

Just set up Cardiff's goal through what Nathan Blake described as "great work"

That's great for his development if he gets gametime. I think he has a lot of potential. I know Cardiff rate him highly.

Feb 2022 “He is one who, if I am here, will be fully a part of what we are doing next year” Aug 2022 Sends him to Crewe on loan A victim of the scatter gun approach to transfers this summer. We had a clean slate of a midfield with the opportunity to truly commit to the youth, but instead signed three new journeyman ones and resigned the mediocre Ralls. And bombed the two most promising young centre midfielders out of the club. Even with one of said journeymen out injured for months King hasn't even made the bench in the league so far this season. He's never getting a chance in the first team realistically. Morison is full of shit and doesn't have a clue what he's doing with regards to promoting and developing the youth.

To be fair, King was given quite a few opportunities in pre-season and played in the league cup, where he wasn't quite up to it. Seems like he was given chances, but not quite ready for this level, so a loan to league 2 might be best for his development?
Agree on Ralls, always thought he contributes very little in midfield. Wintle is a really good player and nailed on. Sawyers is decent and probably a worthwhile signing, but he's probably the most attacking of the new midfielders, so I'd like to see Colwill ahead of him. Not sure what to make of Rinomhota, he's probably the one that shouldn't have been signed, although he's looked good in patches.

I don’t expect Cardiff to act like Bilbao but on the flip side it’s poor to have so many promising young welsh players and just disregard them the way Morison has

Yeah it just looks all over the place. Bring in some youngsters and see them do well…then refuse to build on that via the transfer market. He could have blended the two but he seems to have completely over-stocked at the expense of the youngsters. Hopefully some of these will see success elsewhere and fetch big transfer values and Morison will eventually look like a tit

It is a decent loan, it's just a shame that Morison hasn't tried to blend signings with youth. Instead he's completely stuffed the squad full of players, leaving very little space for youngsters to get in. Looks like Colwill, Davies & Denham will be the only ones who get any meaningful gametime. And looks like none of them will be first choice
We should really be building the team around Colwill given he was our top scorer last season

King was the extra traveller at Watford last night, may not be as far from the first team as he appeared
Hopefully the youngsters get a fair crack of he whip with a decent manager next season, be it in the Championship or League 1

In fairness to Lamouchi, 5 of Cardiff's 12 wins have come in the 14 games he's been in charge, they'd managed just 7 in the previous 28 games.

Much better since he's come in, a proper manager whereas Hudson was trying to find his feet. He'll keep us up, and I just hope he has a plan for the youngsters next season

Brought on in 87th minute today.
Does anyone know why he came back from Crewe? Was it Cardiff's decision or Crewe's? Second half of the season hasn't, on face of it, been great for him, although I guess he can take some lessons from acting as senior head in youth side.
