news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/league_of_wales/8968965.stmIwan Roberts and Mickey Thomas calling for a shake up after the Bulgaria game? Both suggest a combination of Flynn and Giggs. Not sure about that, but I've got to be honest I'd take anything now. Also, why after Bulgaria? Why not now?? If you're going to do it in the middle of a campaign, why not early on, to give the new combination a chance to settle in? What's going on???

If the FAW had any ambition they would have sacked him this morning.
He's taking us back and because of lack of ambition the FAW are happy to let him carry on.
If Northern Ireland could get a result last night with the players that they have then we should have got something against Montenegro.

Agreed. NI have been punching way above their weight for a while under a succession of managers, and all because the managers can see that with a country so small, the only thing that will sneak them wins in a difficult group is a bit of passion and energy. We don't have that, and need it badly.

if he had any sense he would quit. at least then he could lay claim to the fact he was the one who brought through all the youngsters.
that's the only thing he can say and if they were good enough --- bale, ramsey, allen, king, collison etc etc then obviously they would,ve come through the ranks anyway!!
what the hell has he done? biggest example of a man in the sporting world living off a reputation.
another thing mark hughes said he arranged friendlies against argentina, germany chech republic etc etc because you learn something and that you don't learn nothing playing minnows. obviously that tactic nearly worked we nearly qualified and we were 14 games unbeaten. toshack keeps arranging friendlies against luxembourg and liechtenstein. why?
against luxembourg ricketts was poor (and he was poor last night) therefore you drop him, instead he started so there is a fine example that toshack doesn't learn anything in friendlies.
time to go tosh.

It's easy to go overboard i guess, but I hate all this bringing through the youngsters argument as some sort of validation for toshs reign. Ramsey and bale are the two gems, the rest vary wildly in their talent and I think we have overestimated how good most of them will become as they are either in the lower leagues or unable to get off the bench in the prem. In reality over toshs reign we have merely seen our last talented crop of players retire only to be replaced by generally mediocre replacements. And even the more talented and experienced heads such as koumas, Bellamy and Davies not able to produce the goods anymore. Not all of these things are toshs fault- the players have been given a style of football of late that has suited them better but they haven't performed when it counts. But I don't want to hear about tosh leaving a legacy as I think these kids have been chucked in through lack of other options when they are not good enough. The one thing tosh got spot on was the appointment of Flynn. Who do we get in to replace tosh? I don't think marcello lip could get the required ability levels out of that lot. I struggle to see a way forward from here. The problem goes much deeper than simply sacking tosh, although that is admittedly the first thing that needs to be done.

I'm just fed up of building up to a campaign thinking "we've got a decent chance here", and then watching 90 minutes and completely changing my mind.
When they scored I looked at my mate and he just said "we're not going to qualify again are we", ok, he said it in a joking kind of way, but I can't help feel it's true. We were appalling.
I've never liked Toshack, and I suppose we can't blame him for everything, but I really do feel he's had his chance now. He's failed at what he set out to do, it's time for someone with new ideas to come in.

Toshack wasn't to blame for yesterday. Have people totally forgotten Scotland and Luxembourg already? Alright, I was among those who argued for Flynn to replace Toshack for this campaign, but I don't know how you can blame last night on the manager. He played the players we would have in the formation we would have, and I've no doubts he told the players to treat Montenegro seriously. The blame for yesterday lies with the players. One or two of whom should be getting some stick here, like Ledley for instance.
Moving forward I'd give Toshack the October double header at least, if we've less than 3 points after those games, then we should think about a replacement.
Supposing we sack him now, it will take a new man time to find his feet in the job, to know his favoured XI and tactics. That will almost certainly hamper our chances which are already looking tenuous.

We won't qualify. All my dreams and hopes have been dashed in the space of a day. With Tosh in charge we will finish bottom of the group and make world cup qualifiers even harder than they already are.
Tosh goes and we have a chance of finishing with our heads held high, he's just not the right man for the job.

I've been one of Tosh's staunchest supporters but after last night the time has come for him to go.
I have championed his style of play but not anymore, we have some decent players but even they cant seem to get to grips with a more European and patient type of game.
It was time for Tosh to deliver last night and his team didn't. 4 years is long enough and it was results time last night. Friendlies I'm afraid count for zero.
Whilst I'm here, what the f**k is Ledley doing in the Welsh team. Take a year out Joe to get some form back please. You got talent but you're invisible on the pitch these days.
Well F***ed off, I had my flag pinched too, however the Wrexham lad doing the dance to that Russian music at half time was brilliant.

Ledley really is a shadow of his former self. He was anonymous at Cardiff for best of two seasons. It all went to his head to fast?

im not tosh biggest fan BUT the players need to take a long hard look at themselves!!The montenegro games was the first time in a along time he did'nt have god knows how many players pull out!!The constant pull outs dont help tosh try and get this team to jell ,hes never had a consistant set of players to work with, take the luxembourg game gareth bale pulled out because "he felt an injury in training" he was bloody fine 3 days later for spurs!!Just using bale as an example cause alot of the boys are guilty of it.
Its easy to say get tosh out but who are we going to get to replace him?Giggs no thanks would he turn up for friendlies?Gary speed aint going to want to leave sheffield united allready?Chris coleman no thanks!?
Lets be honest if they sack tosh the faw will think of the money and give it to roy evans!!Do we realy want to go down the road of having a b rate english manager in charge of wales?Gould was more than a disaster!!

If Tosh goes/quits/gets sacked after the October double-header, they'll give the job to Flynn until the end of the qualifiers. He's already under contract. Won't cost them anything.
