Tosh: "If Wales are going to lose these next two games it would have been better for that to happen with me as manager." What a ridiculous thing to say! Negative to the end.

Good. As I said I've no axe to grind with Toshack but we need to move forward. I just hope that, for once, the FAW do something good and appoint Flynn. I am worried that it seems to be taking so long - it should be a very simple decision. At least it was the FAWs decision to get rid now and not give him those two crucial qualifiers. Lets be honest, he should have been sacked after the Finland home game. How he survived that debacle god only knows.

Im sure later on he said he thought it was "likely" that we WOULDNT get a result in either of those games- hence why he initially said he would leave AFTER those games, unless a replacement could be found.

Okay,
Ford says new manager will be appointed "in due course". When? There are 29 DAYS to the Bulgaria match.
Do the FAW have a shortlist?
Will it be a full-time or caretaker appointment?

I'd rather have Flynn in as an interim manager for those 2 games than Tosh, that's for sure.

Should be Flynn until after this ridiculous home nations tournament and then if performances have not been good look for a long term well qualified man.

Hmm, surely an easy decision to make Flynn caretaker, then appoint you have time to appoint someone longer term (which could still be Flynn). 29 days to the bulgaria match, but the manager needs time to prepare - watch players, watch videos of the opposition etc.

Agreed... shouldn't be surprised after 6 years of watching us play one up front... We usually played 2 up front under Toshack, except in away games or when we lacked options. Cosdering how poor our striking options are, one up front wasn't such a bad idea.

The 5 at the back thing was more of a problem for me than the 1 up front thing...

Not to mention organise that November friendly. Are we definitely having a friendly then? Maybe they're not planning on organising one.

Cosdering how poor our striking options are, one up front wasn't such a bad idea. Problem with that was it was only Edwards who ever got forward from the midfield to support the lone striker. Davies looked scared to cross the half way line. 1 up front or 2 up front, we were diabolical either way under Tosh. I really really hope that whoever comes in starts getting results and proves that it was Toshs way of playing thats been holding us back.
