We have many youngsters in all our age groups showing signs of making it potentionally but that true spark where you sit up and take notice is still a rarity. Emyr didn't look over rawed on his international debut. Lately he has shown in a few of his games on loan fabulous long range goals that truely put him on the fans radar and hopefully that of good standard clubs that can provide further playing time for him next season. We now have glimpses of why he is a City player. Lets hope he can bring this on a regular basis in the future for his country.

Interesting comments on the goings on behind the scenes at Birmingham.. Hopefully not a dig at Huws. Pretty strange for someone to come out and be so negatively candid about players attitudes- especially with games of a relegation battle left to play, especially bringing the manager's name into it as well. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27143395

Look to the club owners not the players! It would be interesting to see what Birmingham fans think. Has Huws been dragged down by the rest of the team?

Doltish comments from a senior player and club captain. I happen to know that he didn't mean Huws or Macheda, but completely doltish nevertheless......

Comments like that are suicide when going into a relegation battle. Had a look on a Birmingham forum and their fans are all slagging Clark off and his man management capabilities. Some think the loan players are justified for not giving 100% considering they are always in and out or being played out of position.

With no senior fixture I'm disappointed that he's not in the under 21s for the England game.

Didn't he come off at halftime in his last game so I'm not sure if he picked up a knock. He was playing well and Birmingham were desperate for the points so it didnt look like a tactical swop.

Much as I would love to have him back at Swansea - even for one season - midfield is an area where Swansea aren't lacking. Perhaps if De Guzman has a storming World Cup and attracts a move from Villareal to a big club then there might be room for Huws.
Otherwise it would be great if Huws could secure a loan spell at another Premier League club. At Burnley you would imagine he would get plenty of game time. Whether the 4-4-2 that I think they favour would suit him is another matter. Mind you, match experience, at the highest level possible, has to be his priority, so he could do far worse than go to Burnley.

Wearing my Swans hat, I think he would more than strengthen the side, indeed think he would form a cracking partnership with Britton. But I am not convinced that Monk would see it the same way. With my Wales hat on, I think that Burnley or Leicester would be excellent moves for him. But a season loan at Everton - especially if Barkley leaves - would be fantastic for us.

Played 90 minutes in Manchester City's pre-season friendly yesterday, he mainly played behind the striker/out on the left.

Not worth getting to excited about, However playing the whole game indicates he defo has at least a part to play in cup games and the bench to me

Yeah he played quite well, I think I'd prefer him to go on loan to another Premier League club, but I'm sure he and the coaches will come to the correct decision
