Outrageous comments from Ferguson. Using threats like 'this could be your last season' to bully Giggs. Giggs should give Ferguson the middle finger and walk out, but sadly I don't see it happening.

Outrageous comments from Ferguson. Using threats like 'this could be your last season' to bully Giggs. Giggs should give Ferguson the middle finger and walk out, but sadly I don't see it happening. Why does Giggs never face the media himself though? Thats why I think he doesnt give a toss, because hes not even got the respect to turn the opportunity down himself, he sends Fergie out to tell everyone in disgustingly blunt terms that "its not going to happen". Giggs needs to grow a spine and start doing his own PR work.

Love that - the thought of anyone being able to send fergie out to do their dirty work for them! You do realise that Fergie's the manager and Giggs is the player don't you?

Ferguson is an absolute skirt wearing tit and Giggs has shown his own country so much disrespect over the years and shown how much of a chickenshit he is, he does'nt deserve to be anywhere near any Welsh team ever again. How can you even consider Giggs being a future manager when he is such a coward.

So you have never seen a player in a press conference fielding questions from the media? Hardly a day goes by without Steven gerrard in front of a camera with a load of microphones shoved up his nose. Giggs is media shy, fair enough, but just for once in his career his words would carry more importance if he actually said them himself. Fergie has always been his mouthpiece, fair enough as a youth but it's about time he grew some balls and spoke to the media himself.

come on - ferguson is basically the guy's dad. i agree that it is probably time for giggs to step out from his shadow, but you have to give consideration to the unique relationaship they have.
giggs is very proud to be Welsh - and despite living in england for thirty odd years, still identifies himself as an out and out Welshman.

I personally do not want Giggs back as a player, manager or bottle washer.
He has made his footballing life choices, choices which showed scant regard for the paying public of Welsh football.
Personally I think any mention of him being made manager is an insult to the fans who have scraped together many thousands of pounds over many years to travel here, there and everywhere only to get there and read of yet another Giggs withdrawel.
Coupled with that how does he make the call to any Welsh player who pulls out of a future squad and asks for a valid reason for thier withdrawel?
I can see the answer now
"If it was good enough for you boss then it's good enough for me" "click"

I would not be surprised if Giggs was waiting to finish his MU career in another 2 year then think of going for the Wales job - let's face it - this Wales side is about 2/3 years away from really hitting the straps - I just hope Flynn makes himself indispensible - the head honcho - calling the shots when Giggs is thinking of muscling in.

i can see what giggs might be looking at at man ure, that he may gain another league medal and break records and be a top flight earner for another year. but he s always maintained he s dissapointed that he s never won or attended any finals with wales, sorry but take a good look at yourself, brilliant player ,love him to bits, but stop being fergies glove puppet,if he were ever to turn out for us again or coach he d better change his attitude ,big style.

I may not always agree with what that Karen Brady says but she has it spot on about Ryan Giggs
RYAN GIGGS is identified as his successor as Wales manager by departing incumbent John Toshack. He might think so, I think it's tosh.
Giggs is under contract to Man U and has no experience, let alone of leading a nation he was reluctant to serve as a player.
The place to learn for even the most talented player is down among the jobbing class of the lower leagues. Giggs should talk to Roy Keane about that. Giggs can hardly know about the kind of club where the manager pleaded with his chairman for a physio.
The chairman asked 'What would he do in the three months from the end of the season to the start of a new one?' and then answered it with 'He can do the painting and decorating'.

I'm too young to have seen Flynn as a player live, but I doubt he was anywhere near as talented as Giggs. The fact that he won more interntional caps though (66 to Giggs' 64) says it all about their respective commitment to their country.
Someone was on radio Wales the other day protesting the idea that Giggs should be anywhere near the managers job, considering his lack of commitment as an international player. Jason Mohammad was trying to defend Giggs, but the guy pretty much wiped the floor with him, using Beckhams 100 plus caps in a similar time frame to shame Giggs international appearance record. The example I prefer though is Jari Litmanen, because Finland have had a similar level of success over the years to us (ie- not much) Hasn't stopped Litmanen winning OVER TWICE the number of caps as Giggs though...

I think tai is talking about Seirra Leone, whose team are known as the Tree Lions. Seirra Leone is famous for its Tree Lions didn't you know? I'm still not sure Giggs qualified for Seirra Leone anyway tai, even though he was more qualified to play for them than England.

The only way giggs could of ever played for england was through residency THE END!

Not to mention the fact that the home associations have had an agreement in place that they won't pursue players from each other based on residency so Giggs really wasn't going to play for England. The point is that he is Welsh and he was called up by the age of 17.
He won't be back playing for us, even though I think while we're without Ramsey we could do with his quality in the middle. The problem is that he didn't really demonstrate his obvious ability for years playing for Wales.

it seems ludicrous to even bother stating this, but tai is excelling himself today.
giggs has never been eligible to play for england:
born in Wales,
two Welsh parents,
two Welsh grandparents,
two Sierra Leone grandparents
residency? the 5 year compulsorary schooling residency rule was not around then - and only came in a year ago.
that cleared things up tai?

No tredy you're wrong.
It was only the one SL grandparent.
I wonder if Giggs would've had a better chance of playing at a world cup if he'd chosen Sierra Leone however.

No Giggs for me, either as a player or manager. Not enough passion I'm afraid, it's undisputeable despite what Harrison has said. Past it as a player.
