This is a complete non-story, he's just playing in a Pro-am, as a celebrity amateur. He's done it many times before whilst he was still playing football! Yes. Maybe. Difference is that Emma has put her foot down now and told Gaz that she had enough of him playing on FIFA and he needs to start putting the bread on the table agian ;-) Must be expensive bread.😉

There’s a video on Twitter of him playing a belter of a drive off the tee at this pro-am. He’s drawing plaudits for his swing and surprising people with his ability level. I know even less about golf than I do about football so I’m taking other people’s word for it but it sounds like he could be a dark horse in the golf stakes going forward.
Ah well, good luck to him. 5 champions leagues and leading his country to a first World Cup in 50 odd years means he’s earned every minute of his retirement

Great idea about the 11th minute roar!
Hope too that, if GB isn't actually in the ground himself against Latvia, that he will be given some sort of on-field presentation at a future Cymru home game (perhaps one of the friendlies in September/October?) when the members of the Wal Goch /Red Wall can pay him their respects 'in person' as it were.

Already missing him. So infectious is attitude to Cymru. Cymru first! I wish others were like that from yesteryear. I wonder if he’ll make a come back after a break away from the toxic sport?

It was well made but think this episode deserved to be longer. (What felt like) 5 minutes on his youth career at Southampton, 5 minutes on Spurs when he became best player in the premier league, 6 mins on Real Madrid, 2 mins at LA and 7 mins with Cymru/Wales before it was all wrapped up. Didn't even have time to mention that that Copa Del Rey goal was copy of something he had already done. Some really interesting interviews with Theo Walcott and his youth boss at Southampton which I don't think has been seen before, as well as Wayne Hennessey and his ex-school teacher speaking well too.

Just watched it
It makes even a hard nosed 51 year old like me quite emotional
OMG how lucky were we to have him!

For info, Bale will be at the CCFC in person tomorrow night. So that means the TV cameras will probably spend more time focussed on Bale than the match😊
