What I saw from the two goals against Doncaster is that Bradshaw is more about positional sense and being in the right place at the right time. Both were fabulous.
As an aside, any Gwynedd boys know if he is a Welsh speaker? He went to school in Tywyn I think, though born in Shrewsbury.

Generally, you might be correct. But if he was there for only a short duration, then he may not be fluent? I did tweet in Welsh asking if he was a Welsh speaker. He did not respond.

I personally don't think he is worthy of a call up as yet, however, if he moves up a league or 2 and continues to score then that would be a different matter. Only 1 goal in 8 appearances for the U21s as well, Church scored 8 in 15.
Do we know for sure he would accept a call up anyway?

Simon Church has scored 40 career goals whereas Bradshaw has scored 27 this season and the last. Bradshaw's obviously going to make a move to the next level soon (unless he helps take Walsall up) and there's a chance that he could even play at the level above. Simon Church looked promising for the U21s but he's now 26 and hasn't improved since that time. Bradshaw improves every season.

Not unfair. However he's capped George Williams, Jake Taylor, Harry Wilson and Declan John so hasn't been unafraid to chuck someone in He had nothing to lose at those times, with squad harmony the way it is and us in the dire predicament of actually qualifying for something Coleman will probably tread extra carefully in fear of disturbing the status quo. The squad for the November friendly will be interesting. I wouldnt be surprised to see Bradshaw overlooked and no new faces until after the finals. Think that too.

He played well by his standards, but an the whole I'd argue that he was nothing better than decent. In most other games that he's played he's been ineffective. Wouldn't you much rather have a striker on the pitch who'll score goals? He made a lovely run yesterday, chipped the ball over the keeper but unfortunately it hit the inside of the post - the goals will come... I think I know though, Bradshaw is actually proving himself by scoring goals... two lovely strikes yesterday. I'd like nothing more than an Aberystwyth youth product to go to EURO 2016, what an inspiration that would be for a lot of young footballers in Wales... I read somewhere that league clubs are watching another Aberystwyth youth product as well. I always thought Bradshaw was english & only qualified due to being schooled in Wales? If he moved to Wales as a youngster he would have had to have gone too a school which specialises in teaching non speaking/english the Welsh language before they are allowed to enter mainstream education in Gwynedd. Excellent Welsh education by both Anglesey & Gwynedd councils. Its a pity all the other Welsh councils do not do it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke10rMOX-u8

Heard off a friend who used to play alongside him at Aberystwyth that he always used to get on the bus with an England football top on which has put me off him slightly. Seems keen to play for Wales though on twitter etc. I would 100% get him in the next squad but can't see Coleman dropping Churchy

No doubt he wants to play for the seniors now! Any lower league player with a gran who went to Rhyl on holiday once is no doubt trying to get in on the act. I still think we should be looking at him, but we should be mindful that this is going to be a marriage of convenience of both parties. He is most likely not particularly Welsh and wants to capitalise on our success, we need a striker who can actually score. Thats about it really.

I queried in a podcast whether his turning down of the U21s - which IIRC Geraint Williams did little to publicly hide his disappointment about - is a factor in his continued omission. Not so much to teach him a lesson but as a lesson to others in the age grade set-up that they turn down a call-up at their peril

If I remember rightly though,he was out injured at Shrewsbury, and was called up soon after gaining fitness. Bradshaw was coming to the end of his contract at the club, and thought he should show a bit of loyalty to Shrewsbury and turn down the u21 squad and focus on getting back playing regular football. Many on here will say he was mad,but this young lad was a sub at a league two side, who might have been thinking of releasing him,so where then for him? He has stayed on track by remaining in the game, while so many players are released and give up the game, and even moved up a level. I do not think league 1players should be getting caps, but only a few months till the transfer window, and if someone a division above comes in,then he will surely be considered.

Well, let's be honest, there's probably a few in our current squad who've donned an England football shirt when they were younger! That isn't an England shirt. I'm actually wearing one of those tops as I write this. There was no shame in any player of ours appearing in that tournament, they had every right, just as I did to support them and buy a replica jersey. I would never want to see a Team GB football team outside the Olympics however. I was a little bemused when I saw a guy exit the CCS 10 days ago wearing one, something I clearly wouldn't do.

Also have a Brownie point for using the term 'paddies' in 2015 Like they call us taffys , as for the term paddy, is commonly used by the "paddies" maybe not PC for some but as I live in Ireland work with Irish it never been an issue for them. Work with polish as well , and they have no problem being called poles as a collective. Ps, march 17 is called paddies day over here what you call it there As for Great Britain it is 3 countries togethe with UK being N.I. Included.. That's my taking on that. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_BritainI was born in wales and am welsh simples just in case any doubt

They were not representing England at all and outright refused to sing the anthem of Britain. They benefited from experience at a finals tournament so take the positives and forget about it, it was years ago anyway. This England bashing is getting just as annoying as the rugby bashing. We don't have to be the pathetic little brother playing up to get attention anymore as we have the spotlight at the moment.

Few points on Bradshaw... 'I do not think league 1players should be getting caps' - so Earnie shouldn't have been on the field to score that fantastic goal vs Germany then? And Arfon Griffiths shouldn't have been on the pitch to score the goal that took us to the quarter finals of the Euros? I agree with the first part of your post though. Bradshaw was in a tricky position- if Shrewsbury hadn't renewed his contract at around that time he might have had to wave goodbye to pro-football and been back in the WPL...and it's very difficult to get back to pro level again then. Disappointed to hear that he wore England shirts as a kid...but not surprised. Lets not forget that Sam Vokes apparently didn't even know his Grandfather was Welsh until he was 17 and was asked if he wanted to represent Wales! ...and he'S been a very good player for us at U21 and senior level. I have no doubt that Bradshaw is very happy and proud to represent Wales now though, even though, as far as I understand it, he only qualifies through the 'school rule' I saw his debut for the U19s- it was a friendly match vs the mighty Leichtenstein....so hardly a glamour tie. And yet, his father, and three uncles had driven over from Shrewsbury to watch- took them about 17 hours. The away support was basically me, and Tom Bradshaw's family! Now, I'm sure they'd have done the same if he was playing for Scotland or Northern Ireland or whatever but despite being English (or Salopian at least...it's different!) there was no doubt that they were extremely proud to watch their boy representing Wales. And he was excellent; scored, hit the bar and buzzed about like crazy....and then he was taken off at half time! So hs family had driven 34 hours (there and back) to watch him play for 45 minutes! Btw, Jake Cassidy also played in that game. He was shit. Anyway, Bradshaw has a great opportunity coming up. Walsall have got Chelsea in the league cup. Score, or just play well and cause them problems in that game, and I can't see how Coleman could possibly ignore him any longer.

Brilliant post on a number of levels, including the reference to Salopian (great brewery too). Elsewhere on this thread, it is said that he went to a Welsh medium school in Tywyn. In other parts, I am reading references to wearing England tops and being English. I find that bit confusing. I wonder for how long he lived in Gwynedd (none of the Gwynedd Apostles appear to know)?

Let me explain a bit deeper,Flynnfan. I have been a long and suffering supporter for many years, and agree with your views on call ups from lower league players,as we often had no choice for many barren years. We did find the odd gem as well,Ashley Williams was a prime example. We would very often be a 80/90/100th ranked side, and to get 23 players for squads we had to look at league 1 and 2 to fill the bus,as so many pulled out with injuries, but my feeling now is we have moved on,and need to stay on this professional and successful path we have found ourselves on. Our strength in depth is fantastic,no one seems to have an injury these days(the one which would rule them out just for a Wales game). It is great we have a player scoring in league 1,and I hope he goes on and scores loads of goals for Wales, but in this point of time,I feel he needs to move up another division, keep scoring and then we can get excited. Welsh football has reached a new level, and I respect everyone's views on who they would like to be capped, but for us to stay at the top table,I feel we need to have a squad of the highest order possible.

Welsh football has reached a new level ----------- But when Arfon Griffiths was a regular we reached the European championship quarter final... When Danny Gabbidon was at league one Cardiff City we beat Italy...
What if Bradshaw scores against Chelsea in the league cup? Should Coleman continue to ignore him because he's league one then?
