I found a stat by Linekar last night quite interesting. Van Der Vart was the 50th Dutchman to score in the premier league. Wonder how many Welsh men have scored since the Prem started. Just for fun....
Here's a start.....
Rush, Hughes, Giggs, Saunders, Bellamy, Oster, Goss, Savage, Nyatanga, Blackmore, Ratcliffe, Horne, James and Danny Collins, Pembridge, Mellville, Blake, David Edwards, Bale, Ramsey, Ched Evans, Cotterill, Earnshaw, Fletcher, Simon Davies, Hartson.
Thats not a bad start and not sure on Iwan Roberts, David Phillips and Sam Ricketts?

He didn't miss Hartson.
I'm pretty sure James Thomas got a couple for Blackburn- might have been cup games though.
Did Simon Haworth ever score for Coventry?
Maybe Van Den Hauwe in the first premiership season?
Oh, and sorry to remind everyone, but that Paul Bodin was usually a pretty good penalty taker, so he probabaly got a few during Swindons brief stay in the top flight...

Thought Ricketts scored an own goal that doesnt count surely,, Its a pretty good tally so far. Linekar said that behind England the second highest scoring nation was France I bet we are ahead of NI and Scotland and maybe even Rep of Ire..

no they dont count! and neither does hargreaves full welsh internationals.
ricketts scored for bolton last season i remember it! and ben thatcher scored one ever goal for leicster in the prem during their last stint. delaney aswell -- well done on that.
didnt gavin williams score once for west ham??

I think Delaney only scored 1 premiership goal, but it was an absolute screamer (v Watford?) if I remember it right.
I think that 'certain Sgorio presenter' must have scored in the prem- If not for Newcastle thn for Norwich or Millwall perhaps.
Just looked it up and Simon Haworth never scored for Cov, Van Den Hauwe never scored for Spurs, so scrap those two.
Did Vokes not even get 1 for Wolves last season? (I remember he missed a near open goal vs Man Utd..)

sorry im sure its goals in the premiership rather than the 'old first division' so rush,toshack etc would not count

the goalscorers in the list above are all from the inception of the premier league 1992 onwards. Ian Rush was still scoring in the premier league for leeds in the mid to late 90's, granted not many, but was still plodding along as a laughable winger.
edit. Rush scored 48 premier league goals for liverpool and leeds
