I'd rather eat my own eyes than see it happen of course.... This.

Aleksandar Kolarov has hammered a 40-yarder right through Watford keeper Jonathan Bond, who's had a meltdown there. ---- what a shame for the lad. I feel really sorry for him

I don't like his decision as he is a potential Wales player, but I accept it without the expletives.

Now knows he has great potential and wants to play for his first choice country. He has not betrayed us. He probably only played a couple of games at age group level anyway? I just think its sad if England string him along and he ends up playing for no one. I am a Welshman originally from the Valleys who lives in Oxford and works in London. My 5 year old boy was born in England. If he was good (which he certainly isn't) then you can imagine if he was offered an opportunity to play for Wales at youth level I would encourage him one million percent and that is probably what happens with some of these kids. However, they grow older, become more self aware and pursue their own preferences. There is nothing wrong with that and it does not mean they feel zero connection to Wales does it. Good luck to the lad; bitterness will get us nowhere.

Good luck to the lad; bitterness will get us nowhere. He is extremely fickle and has no idea of loyalty. I accept that perhaps looking for values such at this in one so young is perhaps a waste of time and yes he is not in the same bracket as that Rhys Williams, but before he went posing in a Wales shirt for his Twitter profile pic perhaps he should have thought what his reaction would be if England came calling? Thats the question all our young players should be asking themselves and if the answer is that they would not even think twice about jumping ship then they should do the decent thing and avoid any call ups to our squads. I would put money on him never winning a competitive senior England cap. The most he will get is maybe a call up for a friendly, Hart and Butland will be England's keepers for the length of time that Bond is in the game. I would say that I hope Bond has some point in time to reflect on this in the future and wonder what playing for Wales could have done for his career, but then if he really wants to play for England then it's best that he never played for us at all and he 'defects' early as he has done. He obviously has the rig to choose to play for England as soon as he started getting some good press- but don't expect me to throw anything other than derogatory comments his way in response.

Well well well, who do I spot playing for Gillingham on loan against Spurs last night? It is remarkable how our fortunes have changed since he threw his lot in with England. At that time he was a promising young keeper putting in highly rated performances whilst our senior team stunk out stadiums across Europe. We are now at an all time high and Bond at the age of 23 is now with Reading who have farmed him out to Gillingham in League One....and he got injured against Spuds! At 23 he still has plenty of time, but as the saying goes, if you are good enough you are young enough. Our own Danny Ward is younger and playing first team football in the Championship. I'm surprised Bond is not doing the same so obviously he is not as good as he first appeared all those years ago. I wonder if he regrets choosing England? My prediction that he will be a top keeper seems wide of the mark in hindsight, as was my prediction about Joe Hart keeping him out of the England team! But I was right that he has no chance of an England call up. He would have been a squad keeper for us at the Euros, could even have played against Slovakia. Ah well, thats life I guess!

My personal understanding is as he only switched once at youth he can switch back. Ampadu and Brooks are a few examples who did this but I could be wrong.

Signed for Watford. Wonder if he hadn't swapped to England when he was younger, could have had a few caps potentially but didn't set the world alight let's be honest

I guess he could theoretically play for us
Is he likely to be a backup or starter? If starter for a decent club like Watford then he'd be in a better position than any of the alternatives!

Just looked at his playing stats and they were awful until his last 3 year stint at LA Galaxy Watford were his boyhood club

Unfortunately for us luddites, things like twitter, Facebook came along and lots of people use those platforms nowadays for forums.
Plus there are things like people changing email address and creating a new account under a different user name.
If you go back 25 years the main communication forum was a Yahoo email group run by a chap from Wrexham. That was busy then along came the original dragon soccer message board and the email group died out.
It's just evolution.

In ten years of moderating this site I've personally banned one regular user for a month and the only people banned permanently are the dozens of Irish that come here to mock us after a big loss. P People are free here to post whatever as long as it's not racist as fuck, porn or illegal. People might argue with you s lot but it's very hard to not be a able to post what you want here.

Is that rushy playing the victim again for no apparent reason? I’m not sure why the other poster thinks people have been ‘kicked off’, most of the accounts are still active they just haven’t posted for a while or have other usernames. Those that aren’t deleted the accounts themselves.

Chill...it's meant as a joke, unfortunately this place distinctly lacks a sense of humour. Anyway watching the Swiss beating England or what I think will happen
