At least 2500 Edit: In fact, these are the minimum number of seats we should get from each game: Austria - 2543 Republic of Ireland - 2585 Serbia - 1635 if played in Belgrade, 723 if played in Novi Sad Moldova - 520 Georgia - 2727 The 5% rule doesn't apply for the World Cup qualifiers, it's a UEFA regulation. The World Cup qualifying allocations are mutually agreed. They could all agree on 5% though, which would be fair imo. I thought somebody said somewhere (might have been Corky, but I could be wrong), that the minimum 5% still applies for the next qualifiers, which is where all the 'predicted allocations' have come from?

Fair enough, sorry about that You're half right in that I remember Corky's post about 5%. It could be he's aware of something else e.g. perhaps the FAW intend to propose a mutual 5% with the other nations.

I think it would be a fair suggestion from the FAW if they can't agree more with other nations. Just claim that UEFA see 5% as an appropriate minimum, so they may as well use that one

Yes we have to beware the Bale factor here so this may artificially boost the scarcity of tickets for Moldova. This is a game I would like to get to. Sounds like its a difficult place to get to so that might keep demand low. WizzAir have started flights from one of the London airports (could be Gatwick, not sure) starting next month to Chisinau. The stadiun is about 10 mins drive from the airport, just off a straight road! Rules of booking away travel:- 1. Search internet 2. Find best flight 3. Book best flight 4. Let your mates know 5. Make sure they book it 6. Post on social media.
Always sort yourself out before posting or you will loose out in the end.

Anybody considered Bratislava for a night or two, or even just flying there? 50 miles between the two with great transport links

And don't do number 6 until all your mates are sorted. Otherwise you'll wonder why they can't afford to go!

Never been to Slovakia properly before, although I have driven across one corner of it without stopping. Last time we played in Vienna I went to Budapest and caught the train from there - another cheap/interesting option.

Waiting until you've got the time off confirmed often means the price of flights has doubled.

Easiest/cheapest way, I did it this year, is budget flight to Bucharest and overnight train (3/4 nights a week) or overnight bus (2+ every night). Only problem with both were they got in far too early to do anything. Thankfully found a 24 hour bar in Chisinau and an 11am kick-off to get the train to from Bucharest!

Went to Austria the last time we played them (around 2004 I think). Had a great time. Flew to Prague for 2 nights, train to Vienna for 2 nights then train to Bratislava for flight home. Very cheap to get to Vienna as there are some many large cities relatively close by with good train links.
