Also I never thought I would ever criticise a players goal celebration but did everyone else think it was sort of bizarre that he didnt celebrate putting the penalty away, considering it was the opening goal? Fair enough he was undoubtedly relieved at putting it in but right now we are fighting our way back from the brink and taking the lead against the Swiss is a real achievement- it has to be worth at least a bit of emotion, surely? ........................................................
I thought it was a bit strange but I think it was just sheer relief. I wondered at the time if it had been given- he was so subdued I wondered if the ref had blown for him to take it again! He obviously loves playing for, and scoring for Wales though- you can see that from the celebrations from his other goals.
Funniest comment I've read all week: 'Rambo now has 5 goals in his last 9 Wales games....see what happens when he's surrounded by decent players rather than that shower of shite at his club!'

I dont think Arsenal will be queueing up to buy the likes of Morison to complement Ramsey just yet ;D

yeh flynnfan is right - there was no celebration from Ramsey as the penalty was pretty bad and was almost was saved. He turned to Bale and said that was close... you could see he was unhappy and there was a sigh of relief rather than a celebration.

Ramsey has very big boots to fill at Arsenal.
He has to follow their high standards. If he does it benefits Wales.

I honestly don't think its the level of expectation at Arsenal- its more the whole vibe aorund the club. If you swapped Ramsey and Modric around he'd probably be doing OK at Spurs. Bale, Van Der Vaart and Adebayor ahead of him, Sandro and Parker and a fairly solid defence behind him- much better than what Arsenal have got at the moment.
The stick he's geting at the moment is reminicent of what Bale was getting at Spurs a few years back. I hope he comes through it stronger, the way Bale has.

Not if he doesn't want to, no. He's not a very animated individual full stop. This is the same reductionist drivel as complaining that people don't sing the anthem. It doesn't matter.

So, he reads this messageboard. What is the next big Welsh football topic we want him to raise?

Not even on the bench for le arse today, cant find any injury news around the web. Anyone know if he was just dropped from the squad for poor form or some other reason, seems a bit harsh if he was.

I'm sort of glad he didn't play- he's become the scapegoat of choice for the gooners and maybe needs a few matches away from the spotlight and a bit of a rest.

Extraordinary Knowledge Strong work by The Sun this morning. In an EXCLUSIVE! (seriously), a Mr Alex Pearce writes: 'FOOTBALL star Aaron Ramsey was being bizarrely linked to Whitney Houston's death by fans last night after a series of odd coincidences. 'Every time the Arsenal midfielder scores, a famous figure dies. Whitney was the fourth in under a year.' Ignoring for a second the question of 'Why have you wasted your time and ours with this horrendous slice of steaming, rancid bullsh*t', we're going to have to applaud the fine investigative journalism that led Pearce to uncover this EXCLUSIVE! Man scores goals, famous people die. Sometimes. Might be that day. Might be a few days later. Might be a famous singer, or a famous dictatorial murdering man, or that computer fella with the roll-neck sweaters. Not really clear. And only Pearce knew about it. Extraordinary knowledge. www.football365.com/mediawatch/7518225/Mediawatch

This is turning into a deathpool. I like it. I won 85 quid down the pub on Ronald Regan in 2004.

I want Thatcher kept with us for the time being. Apparently she has to be told on a daily basis where Dennis is. Normally that'd be quite sad, but it's funny when it's that old witch.
I want her to stick around long enough to see the fall of the UK.
Mandela was in hospital over the weekend, lucky for him Ramsey is injured.

Ramsey hatrick and the queen to get the bullet would be ideal!! That's high treason! I prefer flynnfan's trio. Although I'm sure Ramsey will score soon and no-one will die, thus debunking The Sun's nonsense (as if it were needed).
