I kept on getting the message that my return journey was before my outward journey, which it wasn't. So I booked it as two singles and it worked. Nice one.

That may well be the case, as all the bookings I did so far (3 in total) were all single journeys as well. Are you sorted for accommodation in Belgium, as the Youth Hostel and town of Gent / Ghent is truly worth-while, even for a single night |

Sorted for accommodation. Got an early flight out of Charleroi on the Friday morning.
Been to Ghent a few years ago. Fantastic place. Need to go back there some time.

i know someone who's looking into trying to arrange one , would cut out the hassle of train or bus journeys with our English cousins... Will let you know how he gets on Any joy on organising a bus from Brussels to Lens? Cheers.

There's apparently very little to do in Lens and very little likelihood of being able to get somewhere to eat or have a drink. We're not arriving until around midday on the train from Paris. Got to meet with my son who's over just for the day but other than that it will be a leisurely walk to the ground and in the stadium nice and early I suspect. Train back to Paris is not until 7pm so hopefully the crowds disperse quickly and we're able to at least get a drink afterwards.
I didn't realise getting back to Brussels after the game was so difficult until reading that English message board though.
