Perhaps a less expensive option for the Racecourse might be to clean up/refurbish the Kop end and install rail seating, would allow Wrexham fans back on the Kop and could also be used by Wales for friendlies or occasional qualifiers. It would work out cheaper than a brand new stand which at the moment looks many years away.

The stand's infrastructure is unsafe. It would cost less to knock it down and build a temporary stand.

Okay I understand, but while this situation remains there won't be a Wales full international there until the problem is resolved. I've seen some great Wales performances there and hope for more in the future.

Didn't know where to put this. But just thought I'd make this thread so North Walians who read the board see it in time... ........................................................... Wales National Team Manager Ryan Giggs is urging fans across North Wales to head to Wrexham for Monday’s open-training session. www.faw.cymru/en/news/giggs-looking-forward-wrexham-return/The exciting event is the first time the national team have appeared at Wrexham AFC’s Racecourse stadium in 10 years and the manager says it’s a thank-you to the dedicated North Wales based fans, who have travelled the length of Wales and beyond to support the team. He said: “I was really keen to have a training session in the north. We have great supporters who regularly travel down to Cardiff to support the team. “This is a thank-you to them and an opportunity for new fans in the north to see the players first-hand. “It’ll be a great day at the Racecourse and I hope the fans come to support us. “I’m really looking forward to seeing a good turn-out.” The ground will open from 10am and the Mold Stand will be open for spectators. The training session is free to attend and tickets will be allocated at the turnstiles on the day, on a first come first served basis. Giggs will use the session, which starts at 10.30am, to prepare his squad for the 28 May match against Mexico in Los Angeles. He said: “I’m really looking forward to the camp. “It gives me an opportunity to work with the players before those big games coming up in September against the Republic of Ireland and Denmark. “This is a really important time for me, before the players go off on their holidays and before the Nation’s League campaign starts.”

I notice that the FAW have removed the bit where Giggs has said "I always enjoyed playing in Wrexham". Cue people going through the archives to see how many times Giggs had 'enjoyed' playing for Wales in Wrexham......
Anyway, fair play to the FAW for organising it. It would be nice if they did it in other parts of the country as thank-you to the dedicated Mid, South-West Wales etc based fans who have to travel to support the team.

Ref the Giggs question, I’m sure I saw it answered elsewhere and it was 4, one youth level game and 3 international friendlies

Not been to the Racecourse since the last international. Where would you park in the day time?

Not been to the Racecourse since the last international. Where would you park in the day time? There should be space in the uni car park. If they're charging, it's usually £3 on match days.

I read somewhere a good few thousand turned up? Shows the level of interest in North Wales if that is true, considering this is just a training session.

Looks like a great turnout to watch Wales train. Shame The Racecourse isn't suitable for full International matches now.

Looking at these photos has got me thinking about my preferred staring line up against Mexico, and this is what I want to see.
Maxwell
Roberts Mepham Williams Davies John
Ramsey Evans
Wilson Brooks Vokes
I doubt he will do anything like this but I would love to see it.
