As we suspected there was no place for Lawrence in Leicesters squad yesterday. Tom has to move on soon, he's too good not to be playing every week and we'll need him in top form for the remaining qualifiers.
Any updates on Derby's interest?

Shakespeare made his feelings clear last night, get out Tom, NOW!

He was never going to be considered with Gray not even making the team - let's be honest, he's done far more than Lawrence to merit inclusion. He definitely needs to move on but I can't see them getting a higher offer than the one they refused. I'm sure there's a conspiracy going on with PL managers who are trying to sabotage our chances ha!

Are you sure he's not going to Wolves, anyway at least he should get some games before September. That alone will probably see him picked

Am I right in understanding the Derby fans aren't keen on the transfer?
Anyway, really good news if sorted today. He might get two games in before Austria and the way we are at the moment, that would probably be enough for him to start!

That's the problem, you never know what you're going to get with him. He obviously has great talent but I won't be convinced until he shows some more consistency (bet he'll be devastated!)

Needed some one with pace and eye for goal from any where.

He had a big opportunity in this round and played around 120mins over the two games, but I was slightly underwhelmed. For me, he hogs the ball slightly too much and his decision-making isn't great. Moldova was a great chance for him to show what he can do, but he just went on a couple of dead-end runs when a pass would have been better and contributed towards the bitty nature of our display. Still early days, but he needs to step up massively if he wants to become a permanent fixture in the first team.

I mean this to be respectful - but hopefully playing alongside the likes of Woodburn can help educate him as to how he can better utilise his undoubted high skill set. He has an edge in pace but agree he need a bit more awareness.

Consistent game time with Derby shall help. Rowett's a good manager and hope he can get the best out of him. Don't forget when he went in to the Holland game back in 2015, had been coming off the back of a very good run of games for Blackburn on loan and had impressed.

I totally agree with the decision making issue above. Players like Lawrence need to have the ability to quickly decide between running with it, playing a short pass or shooting and he got this wrong several times. I'm still optimistic though that he will come good as he's clearly talented and quick.

Thought he did well against Austria but was poor against Moldova, possibly down to less space being available

Agree with pretty much all the observations made. He was decent v Austria, without actually shining. Made a few too many wrong decisions v Moldova.
It might be harsh comparing his contribution to that of Ben's - but at least in terms of decision making, Ben seemed to be spot on, practically every time. Perhaps not every pass, touch or shot was perfect - but, at least I hardly seem to remember a single wrong decision. Not the case for Tom this time round...

Spot on manulike, and that seems to be one of Woodburn's main attributes. He doesn't look it, but he acts incredibly mature and never appears to be phased by anything. He knows what to do almost every time. Lawrence is faster and more powerful, but doesn't have the same game intelligence. Jonny Williams is another who doesn't have great decision making - he's a fantastic dribbler and brilliant technically, but he's never sure when to give it and to who which is why he doesn't have as much of a meaningful impact on games. That's something the coaching staff have stressed to him, that he needs to be more aware of who's in space around him when he goes on one of his runs.

He could well be put on the bench next for the next game but people saying he shouldn't be involved are asking for trouble. (people on twitter & another forum are saying this)
We arent blessed with many attacking options and he is one of our best prospects. We've got to keep giving him chances. However long it takes.
