Its so 80's and we are over it BUT are we
Liverpool involved in incidents in Europe league for 3 different matches which UEFA have charged them Hibernian in Scottish cup final pitch invasion, Palace fans thinking ok to let a smoke bomb off in Charing cross tube station
Hopefully these are just "overexhunerance" but as group think takes over with a huge group of people the scary thing is that a reaction or over reaction becomes uncontrollable with people getting hurt.
Maybe its just mad days of spring................. I'm hoping that it is as lots of potential flashpoints could happen in France.

From what I know in derby there is a serious few heading from there. All targetting the welsh game as their day out and main game. Easy access fir all across the channel. Heard a few comparing ut to an invasion like dunkirk the twats.
Lens lille area will be swamped buy the knuckle draggers'.
Even in play offs the pitch invasion by little old hull got heated and could have easily kicked off if it wasn't for police line at away end.

Hard to see Lens go off without incident. That's why I decided to give that one a very wide berth from the moment the draw was made.

Guess we have become complacent about this and while everybody worried about Terrorism in reality it could be hooliganism which has more impact.
Having been at Landsdowne rd in 1990's when English fans rioted and met their match in the Irish Garda I can honestly say people were terrified.
Armed police and rioters has potential fatal outcome.

Immigrants? What the Australians, Irish and Americans will target the English? Why?
Anyway...
In 2002 there was a hell of a lot of trouble from the English. However the media turned on them big time and really did show them to be the scum as they are. To be fair to The FA (as much as I hate them), they've appeared to do a lot to tackle their hooligans. The people in 2002 were given jail sentences and banned from ever attending football matches.
England supporters tend to be a lot of families and communities. Now, this may sound beyond stupid, but although Mikey Dye was murdered outside Wembley, I believe the culprits were not football supporters. Me and my mate had to walk through what seemed like the whole English fanbase and we had no trouble at all.
There has been a lot of trouble with club supporters like the Crystal Palace example above, but the FA governs their supporters differently.
With Wales... well this is what I'm worried about. This is new for us, the FAW haven't had to deal with it. There were some assholes out in Cyprus. What we don't need is some pissed up plastic having a go at some English.
Let's have banter, but don't be a dick.

This tournament will be Wales first appearance on the big stage for a long time and I hope the team and its supporters are held in high regard for many of years to come.
I have to be honest, I am concerned about the prospect of crowd trouble in Lens, whether it's between England and Wales fans or other riff raff turning up looking for some action with the England and Wales fans. I also hope there is none of the inter club issues which have occasionally reared its head in days gone by, we are there as Welshmen (and women) to sport our country. A long time ago I organised a trip to watch Wales play Belgium in Brussels, There were about 10 or 12 of us in a minibus, some were Swaneea fans, some were Cardiff fans and a few had no club allegiances whatsoever, they were only there to support Wales. Thinking most people would stay in Brussels, we decided we would stay in Ostend as it was out of the way. Lots of fans must have had the same idea - there were loads of Welsh fans there. Unfortunately most were intent on kicking off, there were gangs of Swansea fans looking for Cardiff fans, Cardiff fans looking for Swansea fans and some Newport and Wrexham thrown in to the mix. We stayed there for 2 nights before packing up as we had had enough of the being questioned and asked "who do you support?" and being given a hard time where ever we went. We moved on to Ghent where we had no trouble at all. The thing that struck me was that whenever we were asked a question by a Swansea or Cardiff fan, we knew a lot ,ore about the clubs than the fans asking the questions!
Had our van smashed up at the game by some Belgians, but that's another story!
Let's hope we can see beyond the club rivalries, that our team do us proud and we do them proud.
Cymru am byth.

Guess with Irish Fans it is Man Utd / Liverpool / Arsenal or the second team Celtic plus odd smattering of oddball clubs. Kind of hard to be picking a fight with a Man Utd supporter or a Liverpool Supporter when er best mate is one or brother or whatever. Mind you do know of issues with Scotland supporters with clubs but guy worked with years ago always just said Cowdenbeath and had reason off pat, he just got pitied and bought lots of drinks. Hope to hell Wales fans leave the club stuff at home as you will get judged on this forever. Irish like to drink and party and yup sometimes go over top but generally enough cools heads to tell someone to STFU. Hopefully that continues.

i would love to come back from the tournament with people praising the welsh fans for their warmth and humour
lets not let club rivalries get in the way - we are there for Wales, our country
lets avoid trouble in lens too, self policing - we are better and stronger than that - everyone, enjoy yourselves, getting to our first major tournament since 1958 is enough of a reason to turn it into one hell of a party, life is too short to get angry about football

I, for one, will have an attentive ear on the news from the England v Russia game in Marseilles ... That will have so much impact on the police alertness and behaviour at Lens. Sadly, the French police seem very heavy handed - at least in comparison to Belgium/Netherlands ...

I've never attacked anyone in my life, at football or in life at all, however I have been to lots of footy games... And the lack of segregation is a massive worry, it's usually there for a reason!!!!!

It was the English / Combat 18 hooligans that started on the North African migrants not the other way around. I can remember watching a documentary on a 'reformed' hooligan who said "we ran em down the road and it seemed that half of North Africa can back running at us". Lets face it, there are going to be pre-arranged 'meetings' between the firms somewhere in Northern France, although I suspect that it will take place well away from the Police and CCTV. The beered up idiots - and both Wales & England have them - that is going to be the real problem. Add to the mix the French police in Lille (who it seems don't mess about when it comes to English football supporters), it seems that it is going to be a fun day out!

There's a lot of potential for chaos at this tournament but most of it will be away from the stadiums.
The rise of ultra culture in mainland Europe will also add to the melting pot.

The police, particularly in Lens, Lille and Marsellie, can be very heavy handed. So be warned, stay relatively sober in those cities as they will not hesitate to use tear gas and batons.
In truth, hooliganism never really went away. Just in the 90s & 00s there was less reporting of minor outbreaks of trouble. Now of course you have a lot of footage being shared by young lads on social media, and so flashpoints are getting a bigger audience.
In the main, and with the odd exception (Milan, Moscow) watching Wales away over the past 15 years has been trouble free. We've built up a good reputation as a Wales fan base and I hope we can retain it.

www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/516297/Wales-England-Euro-2016-supporters-argue-promise-violent-encounter-Lens-football-FranceThis sort of rubbish by the press doesn't help the situation at all. They'd love to see a riot and are already creating an image that the Welsh are the ones causing the problems. Two idiots, who probably won't even be in France, have been mouthing off on Facebook and suddenly the Welsh are 'goading' the English! They then go on to talk about the problems between Cardiff and Swansea fans. They did exactly the same after Wales' game against England a few years ago and tried to blame Welsh fans for fighting amongst each other following the tragic incident at Wembley. When the truth actually came out and it revealed that an English fan was involved hardly anything was reported on it. Having followed Wales away a number of times over the years I've never seen any trouble - apart for when we were attacked by Italian fans and police in Milan. Out in Cyprus we were praised by the authorities and locals - I spoke to one pub owner in Larnaca who said we were the best behaved fans they'd had in their pub. The Belgians who had started arriving for their game on the Sunday had already been fighting amongst each other the night after our game. Even the bus driver told me that he was surprised that we were so well behaved because he was expecting the worst! I really hope we go out to France and show everyone that we're not like the English when it comes to causing trouble. I know Bordeaux will be great but if at all possible I just want to go to the England match, enjoy a great game and atmosphere and go away and have a beer or two (away from Lens!) without having to think about being whacked by an opposition supporter or police. Is that too much to ask?!

We've definitely been making a good impression and had relatively trouble free trips because on another occasion on the tram heading away from the stadium in Basel two Swiss fans were speaking to each other and were praising the Welsh fans. One of my mates who understood what they were saying listened to the conversation and they were saying how much better behaved we were compared to the English and Germans. If I remember correctly the English had played there a few months before us and I think the Germans had been to Basel a year before or something.

At our game in Kiev in March there were more riot police there than Welsh fans and despite them not allowing us to leave the stadium for a good 20 minutes, we stayed calm and sang "Dont Take Me Home" for the entire 20 minutes. Many flags and Welsh souvenirs were given to the soldiers/police and I am sure they would be more than happy to see us there again!

A bit of high jinks in charing cross and in Covent garden, brought on by drink due to a late kick off. Only trouble I have really seen this season was against Charlton in the cup and the only other occasion I heard was when Swansea got run out of Croydon by a bunch of east European car washers at Christmas.
