Copied from YBIG and nope he not a friend of mine from Clonakilty
Some info below on the setup for the Blarney Stone run by an old friend from Clonakilty. It's just off rue Saint Catherine on cours Victor Hugo. They're planning an information desk too which is a great idea..!!
I'm waiting for detail from a couple of other spots.
Anyway for the Euros we will be open at 8 am everyday serving breakfast ( proper breakfast not any of the French sh*te !! ). Happy hour is from 5 until 8.30 every evening with pints starting at 4 euro and shorts a double for the price of a single. We've also got music lined up but I don't know how that will work out. During the rugby World Cup in 2007 we stopped the music cos they got drowned out by the fans. Might just go for an open mic instead !! We'll be serving food all day in case they're looking for soakage ( there's a KFC & a Burger King across the road from us now so I don't think there's any fear there ). We'll obviously be showing all the games live along with the GAA matches and other sports ( Wales are playing the All Blacks the morning of their match in Bordeaux !! ). We're also setting up an information desk in front of the pub in case anybody has any questions or needs any help with the lingo etc. We won't be organising any wine tours or stuff like that but we know a lot more than the tourist office about important things like sex and drugs and rock'n'roll !!

Some info below from The Connemara too. The Connemara is the largest Irish pub in Bordeaux:
They have in fact agreed to block the roads in front to allow for thousands of Fans to gather outside The Connemara. Beer will be served in re-useable sturdy Souvenir Cups.
There will be a "deal" for the most consumed drink (from our experience with travelling fans) of a tray of FIVE pints of lager for 20€ (including the 1€ souvenir cups free) This represents a 50% reduction on the price of lager at the Stadium and Fan Zone ... it's even worse in Paris. All other prices as usual (and no Happy Hours during the Euros) We have invested over a hundred grand in modernising the bars and beer equipment : beer cellars of over 400 kegs and added cooling equipment to deal with the numbers.
Coke and Sodas on draught 4.50 a Pint Most basic spirits (4cl) 6.00 Jaegerbomb 2cl 5.00
Also some takeaway deals from the Snack Bar only with Sandwiches, Curry & Chips, Chili & Chips ... Takeaway drinks from the Snack Bar (all in PINTS : 50cl) : Sodas (Coke, Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Nestea) 3.00 (cold) Mineral Water 1.50 ... plus the draught beers on tap at the Snack Bar : Kronenbourg Lager (4.90) 5 Pints = 20€ Guinness Pint 7.50 Magner's Pint 6.50
The police in Bordeaux have always been great with Fans - unlike the Spanish, or Eastern Europe where they seem to love a confrontation - and will be ok with lads drinking in PLASTIC cups. But don't act the bollocks with them (they've just had a month of Strikes, then Floods) or you will be locked up for the duration !

sounds a good irish pub will pop to it on the 10th and 11th , hope open late for wales v Slovakia victory celebrations . Define what you mean as "late". Bearing in mind 30,000 Irish will be descending on Bordeaux a week later do you think it will close ? and if so how exactly are they going to police a closure with 5,000 fans still drinking. Long as people behave I doubt "closure" is something that will happen. Somehow think the €100k of refurbishments done will be paid off in June.

Yes each to their own and hope you enjoy the Irish bars but there is a bigger world out there so I would recommend to sample some of the local French delights such as their food and red wine once in a while

The bars mentioned I figure match day because gets all the fans together and in tune before and after game. Going to France and spending couple if weeks in Irish bar is dumb.

I have the ability of walking out if I don't like it I view it as a guide where you will meet other fans, many will go and never move but like going to any place for first time, knowing where to head for first day is a great idea, after that decide what you want to do. They have planned for Fans which will make it easy for many.

I must admit to being pleasantly surprised by the cost of a drink, I though tit was going to quit a bit dearer to be honest.
