Rabbi went absolutely mental at the final whistle v Ukraine. Means the world to him it seems. He actually seems a top guy and He’s now officially our unluckiest player. Hopefully he can use this as motivation to make the 2024 squad. When you consider Gunter is essentially there because he loves wales and fans love him it’s kinda shit Rabbi doesn’t get the same love when he shows so much passion and ambition. To be fair though I went nuts at the full time whistle and I'm not in the squad. I think he's a talent, but he's has a decent run and not contributed much. Definitely worth another chance but needs to grab it when it comes.

Yeah I saw him in Womanby Street in the early hours of the morning after the game, he still had a massive smile on his face.

Came on as sub in Rangers 3-2 to win against Hibs for their new manager Michael Beale's first game in charge.

Needs to be regular at Rangers to work his way back into a call up IMO

Yeah, we're well stocked in that position. He only made recent squads after really good form in the Belgian league. Needs to do the same in the SPL to get back in

I'm not holding my breath in thinking this guy is going to show anything in a Welsh shirt anytime soon.

Any idea what the deal is with him at the moment?

Hasn't playd this year, if he's not injured this is exactly the kind of scenario that we didn't want, him just not playing again after a fruitful spell abroad.

He was seen at Ellend Road for the LUFC Vs CCFC match. Rumours Rangers want rid of him. Not sure how right that is.

Had almost given up on him!
Hopefully his decision making has improved as his pace is frightening and he can finish. That decision making if improved could see him become extremely productive in creating assists.
Unbelievable that he is still young - not 23 until September! Our side really needs as much pace and attacking threat as it can get right now

Our side really needs as much pace and attacking threat as it can get right now It's a bit of a strange one. When you watch him play, I agree that it looks like he has the raw skills needed (top tier pace and dribbling ability), but technically he can be very poor with his touch all over the place and shocking decision-making as you say. But then at other times he looks technically very good - he's had some excellent finishes and came close with a brilliant volley to win it yesterday. He also had that 3-month spell in Belgium where he was the best player in the league, scoring or assisting on a weekly basis. So it might be more of a confidence thing than technical ability / decision making.

Starting in the old firm derby Maybe there is hope for Woodburn yet?! Well done Rabbi, I hope things keep going your way, backed up by your own hard work!

I don't think a good ten minutes every six months should mean he starts for us,but i guess the cupboard is pretty bare upfront.

Rangers lost 1-0 to Celtic, but Rabbi did have an early "goal" chalked off for offside. He was quite lively, but eventually substituted.
As a footnote, Tom Lawrence (fit again) did come off the bench on 75 minutes, but was unable to assist Rangers in grabbing an equaliser.

I would take them both Tom Lawrence especially I always think he was decent for us out of all the other tried and tested he was one of the best

That was a really cool finish, following up his great finish versus PSV
Not saying he will get anywhere close to him, but I remember Sterling's game was very inconsistent, especially his finishing, until he hit 23 or so and then he scored pretty regularly. There are not many better raw materials to be good as an attacking footballer than pace, which allows you to get more finishing practice too! If he kicks on, he could be a fantastic option as a forward, far ahead of the likes of Bradshaw and Broadhead
Great assist too from Lawrence - hope he has better luck with injuries over the next couple of years

If he kicks on, he could be a fantastic option as a forward, far ahead of the likes of Bradshaw and Broadhead Great assist too from Lawrence - hope he has better luck with injuries over the next couple of years Sterling improved vastly under Pep and hasn't been quite as good since. I think we can attribute that purple patch to Pep's genius Matondo is an interesting one. Career seemed to be floating until he went to Belgium, he then went on a real purple patch run for a very average side and looked like a player again. I think he got back into the squad for us then and started a few friendlies and had a few cameos. I actually thought the Rangers move was very smart from him - a step up from Belgium but a similar type of league, and joining one of the top sides. However, I was then disappointed at his inability to establish himself in the team, and as recently as pre-season this year I would see really negative comments from Rangers fans about him and they really didn't like him. I thought that he was then doomed to come back down to the EFL at around L1 level, maybe low-end Champ if he was lucky However, it now seems as though he's maybe starting to turn a corner again. A few starts under his belt, a few well-taken goals. If he continues with this I definitely think he should be making the squad, competing with Broadhead for that backup LW role. I'd like to see him have a full season at Rangers doing well in both the SPL and Europa League, and if he can do that he will be a real asset
