Had the good fortune of meeting Joe outside Liberty last week. Very tidy, down to earth lad. I believe he has the right credentials and level headedness to become top defender.

Doubtful for today after taking a knock in the Belarus game.
Giggs should have taken him off. Useless twunt.

Only one who played like he wasn't carrying a knock as well.

Another great game. Reads the game so well for a youngster.
On a side note Ash was superb for Bristol City. My MOTM for them.

Joe could learn so much from Ash. Can't really speak for Joe but I imagine he would love to have played alongside a Swans and Wales legend.

Big mistake from him gifts Charlton a second minute goal.
Hopefully learns from that. Far too casual.

Fair play to him.
Didn't faze him at all and didn't change his game much.
Good test of character and he came thru.

Best player over the double header. Oozes quality and is destined for the top. Will be our number 1 CB from now on.

I had him down as possible MOTM, alongside Allen.
He's bloody good isn't he? Like, really good. I don't know why but he reminds me of Sergio Ramos.

Very impressive from him again, looks like he had 50 caps last night.
Shame he missed that sitter in Slovakia as that would of made it a perfect 2 games.

He will be at a top club very soon. He’s better than John Stones & Harry McGuire, Swansea will make big money on him.

One weakness to Rodon's game is that he wouldn't play the high ball up towards Moore. Left Lockyer to do it. Not in the Swansea DNA.
Runs very stiff, with such little steps for such a tall man. Already pretty quick but a good sprint coach to work on his stride and flexibility and he could be rapid.

Great performances over the two games, lets hope he is not snapped up by one of the big premiership teams to early and stuck in the reserve teams.

I agree with you re the running, he could be like a gazelle about the place. I was a little frustrated with him, he’s good brining the ball out of defence, but then stops as if there’s a line that shouldn’t be crossed, when there’s a bit more space I’d like to see him take it a bit further forward. The kids got talent and if there’s space in front of you carpe diem....give it a crack.

He was very heavy-footed when he arrived but worked on his agility and covers the ground really well now. A lot of strikers tried to knock it past him last season and were made to look very silly. Cracking ball-player as well. Joe needs a goal to give him a taste for it, I think. Not quite had the luck so far, gone close a lot.

Cannot praise him enough, cool head, comfortable on the ball and concentration levels to boot. I feel so much safer with him just being there. Not sure who to partner him with right this moment but long term Mepham I would say.

Defence is now our strongest department. Roberts, Davies & Rodon all pick themselves if fit, it’s only the other centre half position that is up for grabs. Bale, Allen & Ramsey are the only others who get into the team without question. Moore might be making himself undroppable & James not far behind him, so at last we look like we are getting near our first-choice line-up, but it’s good to have options, especially when those options are of the likes of Brooks & Wilson.

While I agree with a lot of what you're saying, surely the wings and attacking midfield are our strongest department. We have Bale, Ramsey, Brooks, James, Wilson, Matondo, T. Roberts, Joniesta & Lawrence who can play there, not to mention Woodburn and Broadhead in the U21s. The depth there is so mad that a country as small as ours can lose a player like Brooks to injury and not have it affect them.

Yeah I'm not sure we can call our defence our strongest department yet.
Davies is quality but needs to be playing more regularly. Roberts needs to make a step up, hopefully Swansea get promoted this year. Rodon has been quality but will need to step up a level soon too. We don't know who our other best centre half is - probably Mepham but he's not getting in the Bournemouth team.

Actually yes, I should have rephrased it to say it’s our most settled department. And that’s probably because of our lack of options! However a run of games together will make it very strong, particularly if Rodon finds the right partner, which for Azerbaijan should be Mepham or Williams. Something tells me Giggs will plump for Lockyer again though.

Lockyer looks uncomfortable.
