What's the current status with the kit cycle? Current kit is heavily discounted at JD Sports. Are we expecting a new kit before November, or just the same one with World Cup official logos on? Also, why can't I find any kids sizes? There is a new men's kit coming - I think world cup kits are being released September time this year. I was told a few months back it was the same as the kit released for the women's team back in March but perhaps they will be getting a different one after all?

Usually it is, but perhaps they want to differentiate now? I think we can do a bit better than that kit. The FAW have their fingers on the pulse, so I'm hoping they understand the appetite for a retro looking kit. A nod to one of the classic shirts

Well hope there's plenty of World Cup things by the FAW Quite a few Adidas club teams have a polo collar next season. Would be nice for us.

Mooney hinted at an 80's feel to the new kit, if we keep Adidas, which it looks like we have given that we've already released new training gear, I'm expecting something absolutely beautiful to watch Neco scoring the winner against England in.

Surely, surely, surely we will have a modern touch on the kit we wore the last time we qualified for the World Cup?
Save the 1980's one for the next release. We will be following in the World Cup footsteps, do we need to pay tribute to a team that achieved absolutely nothing? It'd be like in 20 years when we've fallen back down but manage to qualify again and having a throwback kit to honour the Wales 2010 team who bravely finished 4th in the qualifying stages. Common sense would suggest a throwback to 2016 in that case.

And do we really need to remind everyone how long it's been since we last made it to a World Cup?

I remember him saying on EJFOF that the marketing guys at Adidas had the consumer insights to show that the current mundane, template tops sell much better than more authentic / retro ones. Think it will be a pretty standard top but maybe with a hint of a throwback to a classic.

I think it’s the best shirt we’ve ever had!!! Different tastes I guess Nobody asked but my favourite Wales kits are the Umbro ones from the early 90's. Especially the one with the subtle dragon water mark on the front. Pity so few teams these days use Umbro as a kit supplier, they produce some great quality stuff.

Maybe have a counting clock on all the shoulders from the full time whistle of the Ukraine match.

Interesting that the Germans wore their women's kit the other night. Hence only 2 stars on the shirt? Still wonder if the Welsh men are going to get the recently launched women's kit?

That's what I was told by somebody in FAW back in March but maybe plans have changed now we're off to the World Cup. I saw on twitter Noel Mooney said the men's kit would be launched October

I’m not saying that it’s impossible but it would be a strange marketing move to have a big launch of the new Wales mens kit and it turns out to be the same as the already available women’s kit. Surely they would have held back the women’s kit launch if it was exactly the same.

I didn't like the current shirt initially but now love it and have bought one in the sale. Would be happy to stick with it for Qatar tbh.

Yeah Mooney announcing October launch on twitter. It's not a launch if it's the same kit that's already out there. Qualifying for a World Cup is too good of an opportunity to make money off a new kit as well
It's also quite cool that the women's team will have their own unique kit. It's nice to see some variation
