According to Radio 5, Cardiff's wage budget for the season is £20m less than anyone else's. It would be a miracle to stay up Is it really? If so why? Lack of ambition? Owner trying to cash in? Warnock afraid of putting pressure on himself Or just cutting their cloth accordingly? Shame our capital city can't compete financing with small towns on England ( not a dig by the way) Fair comment. I think its mainly cutting our cloth but your right its a bit of a shame. The problem is that's there's probably only 7 or 8 teams pretty much guaranteed not to drop. The rest to varying extents are gambling and when the inevitable comes, for some they put their very existence at threat. Watford were technically much better than us. The conditions which you think may have been a leveller seemed to go the other way. A much superior first touch every time gave them more space and time. On a positive note we hustled a couple of goals late on but had we got something out of it, then it would have been a miracle.

Let me be the first to say it ... the ref was shocking ;-(
Its the 4th time I've seen City live this season - and they are a very decent side.
The Bluebirds are staying in the premier league.
You heard it here first ;-)

Big month ahead for Cardiff.
Palace away is never easy, might Palace be over confident due to the Man City victory? Leicester away can't see anything but Jamie Vardy having an early NYE party sorry. Spurs home, look what they did to Everton. Could be the first time a PL team score 10 in a game especially if they score early like United did, seriously. Huddersfield home will be must win if 0 or 9 or anything in-between points are achieved in the next three games. Newcastle away, huge game again.
If Cardiff lose all of them, which I don't think they will, plus with the last two defeats they'd be in a lot of trouble. Considering there's Chelsea and Liverpool in 2 of the last 3 home games they can't rely on the run-in either, topped off with that day out at Old Trafford in May.
Merry Christmas.

4 points from 2 away games as well as successive clean sheets. Not bad.

I'm a bit torn on Cardiff City as although I know plenty of Bluebirds fans and are happy for them in a way, speaking personally I see nothing really likeable about them. A club managed by the odious Neil Warnock which has no Welsh players whatsoever is always going to be a tough sell tbh!

A club managed by the odious Neil Warnock which has no Welsh players whatsoever is always going to be a tough sell for me tbh! I sense someone is nervous that their beloved English club is going to become unstuck against the mighty Bluebirds in front of 30k passionate Welshmen in a couple of days time?!

Where does Ben Davies fall among these passionate Welshmen? It was only this week that Warnock was complaining that he isn’t allowed to sign any more English loan players.

Although if he's willing to take a hell of a pay-cut, I'm sure Warnock would let him join when the window opens! Reality of course if that Ben Davies has no duty to play his football for a Welsh club. In the same way, a Welsh football fan has no duty to support a Welsh club and, consequently, playing Welsh players when not viable to do so is not something that can be bestowed on Welsh clubs. If Welsh people gave Welsh clubs the same support as Basque people give Basque teams, for instance, I would certainly say that Welsh clubs have a duty towards improving the national team, even if it would be to the detriment of the Welsh club in question. Most of our country, for whatever reason (and often valid reasons I'm sure), support English sides, and I think it's unfair to expect anything different from the Welsh clubs as it stands. Here's hoping that we one day get to a situation where the majority of Welsh people support Welsh clubs and our top players don't need to leave our country to fulfill their potential.

Try telling that to the 642 who were there freezing their nuts off on some makeshift scaffolding.

Not that it should be an either/ or situation but how would they feel were they to progress to the semis or the final of the FA Cup, but end up being relegated back to the Championship. Warnock would be slated for not putting more emphasis on the Premier League. As it happens, I think Cardiff have done well in the latter half of the season to date. They probably won't lose much sleep over their FA exit.

If he wanted out of the cup then why didn't he play some youngsters.

Don't think he necessarily wanted out of the Cup, just that he may not have expended a great deal of effort on it.

Sad times for football. I never used to hear of these things and now potentially 2 incidents associated with high profile clubs in the last few months. Hope everything turns out ok but it seems highly concerning.
