Looks like he's still in hospital. Hopefully just as a precaution.

Nobody just collapses and needs urgent medical attention from both clubs medics unless it's serious, so with no detail evidently available you can only assume it was a delayed reaction head injury or heart related.

Didn't see the incident but the pictures of Tom with defibrillator pads is a little worrying and suggests that there is at least a suggestion of a cardiac issue. Not quite a Fabrice Muamba/Christian Eriksen moment, but a pacemaker implant might be under consideration pending further tests. An implantable recorder might be a first step if the medical staff don't already know what occurred.

I've always felt there's better than him, but I would seriously consider him above Mepham right now... but its hard to get away from him collapsing on the pitch. The medical staff will know best but I just feel a bit uneasy if it is a heart issue. There's more to life than football and would hate to see anything happen to him. Can't believe Eriksen still plays to be honest.

Initially I thought he may have injured his leg, ankle, knee or something and stayed down from being distraught at the injury, however it's looking pretty worrying that he's still in the hospital, along with the fact he seems to have defib and ECG pads on his chest.
Really hope its not a career shortening issue, as that would be unbelievably unlucky and extremely sad.

Can't say too much as what I have is off the record (and given that the people I spoke to yesterday are non-medical people, these things can change).
However, let's all take a minute to calm down and not overreact to pictures until we get anything official. Given what happened, the professionals will take every conceivable precaution with him.

Think I can be more open now.
Spoke to Rob and Paul Trollope at the town hall reception. He basically said that Locks was absolutely fine. Only reason it was off the record was because they are not medical professionals and didn't want that leaked in case they found out something with the later tests.
There is a slight issue that worries me personally that I would almost prefer that they would find SOMETHING, just so it explains it, as opposed to finding nothing. But, like Rob, I am not a medical professional, so it's hardly an informed opinion.
Judging by the article, sounds like they are fully confident to at least bring him back in pre-season training, with the plan that he is absolutely fine. That also suggests that he has signed a new contract with the club, which is great.

Given it was mentioned about rest before pre-season, that would suggest to me that he has been told to NOT be joining the rest of the squad in Vegas. Probably because they want him to rest for a period, just to make sure. Henceforth, not be taking part in full training session yet, let alone games.

Did he pass out at all? And what did he feel?

Great to see he's recovered and been given the go-ahead to carry on playing. However it's quite worrying it was heart related and would it be wise to carry on playing given he's now had heart issues? I know Eriksson is still playing, but I'm not sure if it's a good thing.
My friend recently had surgery (cardiac ablation I think) to correct something similar to atrial fibrillation - although he had been having issues for a few years, and didn't have a serious collapse like Tom. Also, not sure if he's had to make any lifestyle changes afterwards.
Anyway, best of luck to him. It was horrible seeing him collapse and be hospitalised, and he fully deserves a chance at the PL.
Would also like to add how well spoken he is in the interview above. Real credit to Luton, and I think he should be a starter for us now.

Sounds like he had an ablation, to stop a short circuit arrhythmia, a simple op done with catheters,
Should be fine now. All good.

The best news possible from what appeared a really scary situation at the time, truly hope Tom gets back to play in the Prem. Just my opinion but there seems to be more of this kind of thing happening to sports people these days, even with all the sports science and ultra modern technical testing that they have available which I'd have thought would identify such issues.

I was briefly involved in athlete medical screening including players who at the time were part of a premier league football squad. These systems are very good at picking up structural abnormalities or cardiac electrophysiological conditions that are permanent, frequent, or even occasional. Unfortunately there is just no way this condition could have been picked up as there is nothing to 'see' on test. the abnormality is at cellular level, and likely triggered by a specific sequence of events which could not have been predicted. However the circumstances would have led the Cardiologists to carry out a procedure to provoke the same event and identify the rogue cells and ablate them. I'm reading between the lines here based on my own experience and putting 2 and 2 together and assuming it adds up. If I'm right, this is not a scenario as serious as the Muamba/Eriksen situations, and I'm sure there should be no problem getting back to playing for Tom if he can overcome any mental barriers and I'm sure he will get all the right counselling.

Excellent response, dare I say but, I just wonder if it's something to do with the human condition being more vulnerable to what it once was.

As a race, we don't seem to be as strong and robust as we once were, there is some form of treatment for the most minimal of conditions where before the body used it's own mechanism to repair or heal itself naturally. We are so reliant on drugs for absolutely everything and probably the biggest change is in mental health where any kind of disappointment means you have issues that need addressing by a professional who offers you therapy etc. The covid situation is open to debate on the whole subject which the truth won't come out for another fifty years or so.

Its not open debate fella. Lets address the conspiracy elephant in the room. You are 7 times more likely to develop heart conditions via covid infection than a vaccine. If you want any data to back this up PM me privately rather than filling this forum with nonsense. Note: Natural immunity something you have to risk infection firstly with to then protect yourself from said infection. How stupid is that theory.

Whilst there are elements of truth in what you say, there's also lots of 'old man shouts at cloud' energy going on and 90% of it is is completely devoid of science and purely based on ignorance. It never fails to amaze me how people can say things with such confidence and certainty, based on next to no knowledge or expertise. I guess it explains a lot about how we find ourselves in the positions we're currently in...

Whether you like it or not, there are lots of theories floating around about the whole issue mate, including from people in high places , maybe you can tell them too, and I'm NOT favouring one over another, however one indisputable fact is how many people in this corrupt government made a fortune from the situation, the rest of it will come to light in time. Interestingly and just saying, I travelled a lot during the peak on flights, trains and automobiles , mixed with so many people in public places with only a mask but no vaccinations at that time and had no problems, had two vaccinations since because I had to, again with no symptoms to mention.

Yes your right CONSPIRACY theories. Science starts with a theory but ends in data and analysis - thats where the truth is. Who are these people in high places you want to list them here? Let's check their credibility.. Right an anecdote, great but its totally worthless. I got covid and had all boosters, vaccinations and had nothing since. Thats about as worthless as yours, must mean vaccinations are 100% yeh? or possibly your anecdote means masks are 100% effective? If you have any data share it, you won't because outside of rare side effects there is nothing to back up your silly little theory apart from the odd conspiracy grifter trying to sell you a supplement.

There were rumours about 24 hours before that Everton were after him. Whether they were or not, I think this is the best place for him. Definitely will take over as club captain.
