Completely agree, I got into the thought pattern against Finland that Bale can’t score anymore. I love what Bale has done but the squad is built around letting Bale do as little as possible so he’s free to attack, but with that luxury he has to do more. I’d be happy with an assist if he wasn’t given special circumstances in the team, but does it warrant not really doing anything to help the team defensively? Moore puts himself about, holding the ball up, takes the physical hits from the CB’s and is usually our match winner. The tap ins he scores are similar to the one Bale missed against Finland. I think 100% that he’s outperforming Bale. No way should you get ridiculed for suggesting it. No idea why a defence of Moore's contribution has to be turned into having a go at Bale's, but I completely disagree with your assessment. I think it's fairly lazy to say the team is built around Bale doing as little as possible and that he doesn't contribute anything defensively. That may have been true in previous campaigns, but certainly it hasn't been true in recent games. Bale's had a similar role to our other forwards, he's been pressing in the same manner as them (not as well as James, but as well as Wilson and Brooks) and the attacking/defensive responsibilities have been shared out equally across the forward line. In terms of output, he's assisted two goals in the last two games. I thought he was great against Finland and came close several times. If he can keep himself fit, I expect him to continue putting in performances like that which will certainly produce a few more goals and assists in the next campaign+euros. He remains our best forward by some distance Not a comparison but it just happens Moore is outperforming Bale and it’s completely not in anyone’s mind to drop Bale. I don’t see his defensive contribution, I see James tracking back to help his fullback but only see Bale a few yards inside his and then has to go off after 69 mins

I love Moore so not adding to the discussion regarding that
I don't get why Bale is being talked down though. Of the 12 games he's played in the Euro qualifiers or the Nations League he's scored 2 and got 4 assists, so that's a goal contribution every other game & this is when he hasn't been playing for his club, sometimes at all, and certainly hasn't been in top form/fitness at all throughout that period. These goal contributions got us all 3 points against Azerbaijan, a point against Croatia, 3 points against Hungary, and 3 points against Ireland. So he's definitely been a really important forward for us & shouldn't be under-estimated. Since he's started playing regularly (last couple of games) he's got 2 assists and been very unlucky not to score
By all means talk up Moore's contribution, but don't talk down Bale's contribution to do so

I think some of the comments here have proven my point that some players are above any sort of criticism.
Anyway, back to Moore and his celebration.
I've watched the game again tonight, paying attention to Moore, and I think his lack of celebration comes from his lack of involvement in the game. Up until 75 minutes he only had around 5 touches of the ball, then twisted his leg. Maybe he wasn't making enough effort to get involved, but Nic Parry mentions at some point that it's all the clever 'small' players that are seeing most of the ball.
I'd imagine he was getting quite pissed off at not being involved much, then the injury happened.

Criticism of any players can be fair, but only if well-reasoned & balanced - any criticism that doesn't hold up when you apply reasoning is likely inaccurate or unbalanced

Not sure if you are talking about Bale or Moore here but people saying that in their opinion,Bale and Moore are worthy of a place in the team and are better than the alternatives doesn’t mean that they are above any sort of criticism. It just means, well. that in their opinion they are worthy of a place in the team and better than the alternatives.

Fundamentally bullied yesterday. Was frankly embarrassing. Didn't watch the game - he bullied the Luton defence or vice versa?

Hats off to Cardiff for starting four Welsh players! How did each one do? Moore and Harris both played very well up top, Vaulks was the best he's been this season and Wilson provided added quality especially at set pieces. Harris arguably man of the match

Harris arguably man of the match I hope this is the start of bringing some Welsh identity back to the club. Great to see. Just want to see more academy boys from Cardiff making the cut and into the 1st team now

7 goals in 15, 9 goals if you count the 2 for us. Can't argue with those numbers!

5 goals in 5 games since the international break! 6 in 6 if you include the Finland game.

I must admit, he is turning out to be a better player than I gave him credit for.
The surprising thing for me, given his age, is that he seems to have improved a lot since he started playing for Wales.
Good on him and good on Cardiff for going for him!

Worth his weight in gold, he's a different class. Cardiff looked so much better with him on the pitch.
