They look awful, especially with any balls into the penalty box.

They'll probably look a different team against us...

They finished TOP of their qualification group! And Asia are getting more extra spots than UEFA and CONMEBOL.

To go along with my half time 3-0 prediction, I think we'll see a red card before the end of the match, Iran look wound up as hell.

Bellingham has improved England massively. Such a shame they've moved away from the back 5 with Rice & Phillips in midfield that completely stifled their creativity

It's hard to judge England because Iran have been so poor, the goals have been quality though.

What he also has is the English media hyping him up to no end which will work against him, as it so often does with their young stars.

I think he's got a massive ego and a touch of arrogance from previous things I've seen.

Personally I'd like to see just how good he can get, despite his nationality. So long as he doesn't win them a Tournament that's fine for me! With him and Foden, England fans probably have reason to be excited for the future but I swear they always have a few youngsters who are this exciting on the books.

Interesting, I missed the KO, but Iran didn't sing their national anthem in protest against their government.
I wonder if they're actually not bothered by this tournament at all.
Surely they're not this bad? Or like Jenas said, England have been so good they've made Iran look ordinary.

They finished TOP of their qualification group! And Asia are getting more extra spots than UEFA and CONMEBOL. That’s got to be bribery. There’s no merit to that at all. There undoubtedly needs to be a strategy to improve the quality but just giving them more spots isn’t it ffs

They have controlled the game and their third goal was very well worked but other than that they look a fairly pedestrian side who have had a lot of possession and profited from some high balls into the box. They don’t seem to have any sort of x-factor or identity. Edit: saying that you could say the same about France in 2018 I guess. They might be one of the better sides but I don’t think they are enjoyable to watch, for all the riches in their player base.

Only thing i have seen of bellingham was that interview before the game, thought he came across as a decent guy to be honest.I mean he's a footballer what do people expect him to start doing magic tricks or saving kids from burning buildings or something.

Iran have conceded two soft goals a s a result of the attacker cutting inside on the left. I hope Bale is making a note of this.

Iran have still created some chances, they're still a threat who shouldn't be taken lightly

Thought England looked very good, Iran looked like a pub team and I felt Bellingham spoke quite well fir his age.

Looked terrible at the back but decent going forward - not sure if that suits us or not, but we will definitely get chances.

Iran will no doubt come out a bit more against us but given how they fared today I think that will benefit us more than hinder

Going to be 3-4 changes for this with short turnaround and early afternoon kick off.
Would love to see Moore and Johnson start this. Will need freshening up in midfield aswell. Keep the same backline if they can walk.

Page will almost certainly play exactky the same team.
I think we need to go with youth. Moore starts, he was the best Welsh player tonight. Play Johnson. I would use Bale as a sub, because as much as that penalty was good he was awful for the majority of the match.
I would even consider going 4 at the back seeing how poor they were against Eng;
Neco - Mepham - Rodon - Davies
Morrell - Ampadu
Johnson - Ramsey - James
Moore

Bale will still start, just for hierarchy and moments. Simply can't drop your best ever player one game into a world cup unless he feels he isn't fit enough to start. Hopefully he'll get some free kicks on edge of box to work with as his general play was really poor. Ramsey wasn't much better but again can't see Page dropping him either.
I'd certainly be up for playing a 4-2-3-1 with James and Johnson either side of Moore and Bale hopefully with a bit more sharpness latching onto knock downs.
