I was wondering if anyone could help me?
I thought the FAW ran a travel package (sponsored travel company?), for all away games. I was hoping I could apply for tickets/travel at the same time when receiving my membership forms but there wasn't even any information on tickets.
Obviously, prices of flights/hotel will go up by the time tickets are available.
What have you veterans done?

Where are people staying in Serbia? Novi sad or Belgrade? Anyone know how easy travel is between the two cities? We fly back early Wednesday morning....hopefully with a stinking hangover after celebrating a fine win!

Do you think it would be safe to take the other half to this game? Want to go but not sure if it's a good idea with the Serbians reputation. Any advice would be appreciated.thanks

Any advice would be appreciated.thanks The best way to find out about a country is to experience it yourself not listen to gossip. Having been to Serbia twice for football matches I found it an absorbing and interesting place to visit. The only reason I would say don't take your other half is the abundance of pleasant on the eye females when you get there!

Where's everyone staying in Belgrade?
I'm travelling over on my tod as the missus can't get time off work. Staying in a hostel opposite the main train station but sort-of know my way round the city so happy to meet up with people near to where they're staying!

I used the A1 bus from the airport. Took about 40mins and costs 250 Dinar (under £2). Should be fine through the day, but I'm on the early flight home on the Wednesday so will have to check the timetable over the next few weeks.
I'm staying at Red door Hostel, ul. Gavrila principa 60, Belgrade. Booked through Hostel World @ £10 a night in an 8-person dorm. There are a few nicer hotels nearby but it depends on how much you want to spend!
Also, when I went I was confused as I couldn't buy any Dinars over here, but they don't sell them outside of Serbia. There are cash-points/bureau de change in the airport though so you shouldn't have any issues changing your £s.

thanks for the information on hotels. Cannot remember the one I stayed in last time. It was 10 to 15 minues away from the city centre.
Looking forward to going back to a small bar with the dark sweet beer and great food.
It looks as if there are a lot of us on the Wizzair flights out sunday and back wenesday. Pointless booking a hotel for Tuesday night with the early flight back on Wednesday
