Gutted for him, but two months isn't a terrible outcome. An injury is never good, especially to someone that is prone to them, but it's not a season ender and it may mean that he misses the congested Christmas period, which may not be a bad thing. I'm confident Bowyer will take good care of him and won't rush him back.
If we need him in a playoff it sounds like he'll be back in time. Definitely a blow not having him for Azerbaijan though, as we're now relying on Ramsey to be available for that.

Why is half the Welsh squad constructed of balsa wood,so frustrating.

He’s had terrible luck but it’s hardly his fault. It’s unbelievable how many Welsh players recently have had careers disrupted or ruined by injury.
Collison, Huws, Williams, Delaney, Mathew Jones are just a few. Add to that the significant injury problems experienced by Gabbidon, Ramsey, Bellamy and Simon Davies which probably prevented them achieving more.
Is there some kind of curse or do all countries experience this?

I know exactly what you mean. When it comes to career impairment you could add the likes of Hennessey, James Collins, Bale and Joe Allen to that list. Just look at the number of caps that Modric has gained and you can see what a resilient physique can do for a national team's fortunes.
Massive shame about Jonny Williams, but at least he's made a significant contribution to this campaign. It would already be over if it wasn't for his game-changing cameo against Azerbaijan and vital defensive contribution in the recent double header. Watching the Croatia game back it was noticeable that how we had the ascendancy for the first 20 minutes of the second half - our best spell of the game. Then, as soon as he went off, Croatia came back into it. One example was how he pressed one Croatian player in their own half, leading to him passing the ball back, with Joniesta immediately hassling the recipient, forcing a misplaced pass that was intercepted, and leading in turn to Bale's dribble into the penalty area. We will sadly miss that intensity of press, and there are no obvious candidates to provide that in Jonny Williams' absence. We desperately need Ampadu fully fit, but I think we'll be disappointed.

Modric's caps total is certainly impressive. Certainly what Bale would have managed barring injury. I think a flying winger is always bound to get more injuries than a CM though. On a separate note, it got my looking at record caps totals for international footballers. Sergio Ramos could well be the first player to reach 200 caps if he sticks around until the end of the Qatar campaign.

Happily, Jonny Williams back in full 1st team training as of yesterday. He could be ready to play some part for Charlton this Friday v Hull, but if that's too early he'll certainly be back for their 21/12 match v QPR.

Air shots are certainly more dangerous than they sound. A fair few times playing I’ve done an air shot and nearly felt my hammy go. I think because contact with the ball causes resistance against the muscle somewhat, so it’s more of a controlled movement. When you are expecting contact with the ball and you miss you end up continuing your follow through and with nothing pushing your leg back it’s very easy to over-extend and accidentally snap the muscle forward with quite a lot of force.
Glad he won’t be out for long though, plenty of time to get fit and firing again for the Euros. A certainty in the squad for me.

Over shadowed by the devastating injury to wee Joe but that man Joniesta returned to action today. Could he be the one to fill the void?

Ampadu Ramsey Jonny Mid 3. A lot of pressure on Ampadu's shoulders. Huws, Morrell and Smith are the most like for like replacements really.
