Imagine what his career would have been like if that break didn't happen Probably much the same. I'm not seeing the link between a bad leg break and the millions of subsequent soft tissue injuries.

This was the exact reason he shouldn't have been made captain. Its unfortunate but he just doesn't play enough games.
I wouldn't be surprised if he wraps up his career this summer.

If we qualify I think it's a good way to end his career. He'd definitely be in the squad regardless of his fitness, even if he comes along to play a cameo at the end he will. Him, Wayne & Davies would both hold the record for most tournaments for a Welshman, so I'm sure Ramsey would love to have that achievement (something he can one-up Bale with!)
In time I imagine Davies will take that record for himself, but even still 4 tournaments would be a remarkable achievement for any Welsh player

Its a shame as its not like he's looked passed it when fit, he's still a key players for us. Actually really impressed since his return to Cardiff and looked clearly their best player. Still we are strong in attacking midfield positions and not having him at least simplifies selection. Wilson likely to be our main playmaker now in that role, sometimes accommodating Rambo forces others to be shifted around or left out. At least he is a natural midfielder though, whereas Wilson, Johnson, D James, Brooks etc are all natural right wingers.

On a lesser scale this feels a bit like when Spain dropped the previously undroppable Raul and improved, learning to live without Bale and Ramsey might be the best thing for the current crop.

Him, Wayne & Davies would both hold the record for most tournaments for a Welshman And Ward - played in every one. And if we qualify for the Euros, it's unlikely that Hennessey will play, and Ward will be first choice. Depending on what he does with his club career, whether or not we qualify, and if a promising goalkeepers develops suddenly, Ward could well have another 2 or tournaments in him!

Fair I didn't think about that. Funny that Wayne will definitely go down as the more legendary keeper of the two despite that even if Ward does go to more than him

I'm sure Ward will appear legendary on paper! First goalkeeper to play at a major tournament since 1958 (that stat is a harsh one on Hennessey!) Joint most major tournament participations (could well become no 1 there as mentioned). Joint most Euros match appearances for goalkeeper (needs 1 more to become No.1 - and if we qualify I'm not sure how far he'd be from being outright No. 1, not far off!).

Happy Saint David's Day one n all. I luvs Aaron Ramsey and I'm glad it's sounding more positive However Not keen on him coming into the play off on the back of no playing time. Maybe me but always think he has a tendency to over elaborate/ try too hard when he feels he has a point to prove as well as obvious lack of match sharpness. There's not the drop off in ability there once was in terms of the other options and arguably he shouldn't be first choice at the moment. I think if he says available though, Page will see him as such.

Ramsey shouldn’t be selected for games this month.
He’s barely played. If he gets picked then clearly we’ve not learnt from Qatar!

No point forcing him into the squad with no game time, rushing him back will risk further injury as well
Have him around the squad the way he and Bale have done in the past when unavailable and hopefully he can get fit for the end of the season and hopefully the summer

GAME ON ;-#)))) you have been missed!
EDIT Ummmmm. From those 25', I'd say Sonny is the fitter and sharper Ramsey right now...
Have no problem in him being in the 23 - but to come on ONLY is we are chasing a game.

Thanks for everything Aaron. Rambo we will miss you. The moment for me is the u21 game against England at Villa Park. Euro 2016 he was brilliant. End of an era. 84 caps doesn’t do it justice. Injury at Stoke I suppose.
Tears crash into my smartphone 😭

Noooooooo. I'd love him to stay at City and with the seniors at least until June 25. There are plenty of very young players that can gain so much from him being in the squad.
