So the draw has been made: Monday, September 5: (h) v Moldova Thursday, October 6: (a) v Austria Sunday, October 9: (h) v Georgia Saturday, November 12: (h) v Serbia 2017Friday, March 24: (a) v Republic of Ireland Sunday, June 11: (a) v Serbia Saturday, September 2: (h) v Austria Tuesday, September 5: (a) v Moldova Friday, October 6: (a) v Georgia Monday, October 9: (h) v Republic of Ireland I am assuming the Austria game is going to be in Vienna, as that is where all their Euro games were? These are my current buys from Ryan Air (today's prices): Birmingham to Bratislava £ 43 Tue 04 Oct 2016 • 13:20 - 16:45 • FR 734 Bratislava to Birmingham £ 43 Sat 08 Oct 2016 • 17:10 - 18:35 • FR 735 The FLiXBUS - www.flixbus.com/ - goes from Bratislava airport to Vienna station for €5 Bristol to Dublin £ 52 Thu 23rd Mar 14:00 - 15:05 FR 507 Dublin to Bristol £ 62 Sat 25th Mar 12:30 - 13:35 FR 506 Any thoughts about the Serbia game? Will they play it in Belgrade? Are there any cheap carriers to Belgrade from Cardiff / Bristol area? Is it worth flying to Zagreb or even Ljubljana?

Dublin flights on sale already? We have booked from Heathrow to Vienna. £120 return. Yep, I was monitoring the Ryan Air site and they went live today with March 2017 ;-) They have the big rugby game on the Saturday before our match (final game of Six Nations v England) You might want to also try Ryan Air to Salzburg from Stansted:Dept 5 Oct at 07.25am for £26 Return 7 Oct at 10.45am for £26 Salzburg airport to train station is 20 minutes on bus for €2.50. Salzburg to Vienna on the train is only 25€, 2 and half hour train journey, free wifi , pay on the train The FLiXBUS - www.flixbus.com/ - goes from Bratislava airport to Vienna station for €5

It might be worth waiting a few months on the Dublin flights? Usually they are £39 return... I just thought that the England rugby game on Saturday followed by our game on Friday is all a bit too much happening in Dublin to risk...

It might be worth waiting a few months on the Dublin flights? Usually they are £39 return... The one thing that you can guarantee is that budget airlines won't drop their prices as time gets closer to the flight date. Although there are plenty of other airlines that fly CWL / BRS / BHX to Dublin so it might be cheaper to mix and match airlines.

Flybe and Air Lingus fly Cardiff to Dublin. They aren't selling next March yet but some random dates for late this year came up as £60-70 return.

For Vienna, Easyjet fly from Bristol Monday and back on Friday so ideal to make it back for the Georgia game. Around £130 return at the moment.

Austria - I have booked from Manchester to Bratislava with Ryanair on the Wednesday morning 6.20 lands in for 10am. My plan was then to take the train to Vienna but may go with that 5 euro bus. I got that flight for £48 when the draw was made, up to £84.99 now though.
Coming back I am flying German wings Vienna - Manchester(1 hour change in Dusseldorf) on the Friday, leave Vienna at 3.25pm and land in Manchester for 7.25pm. I got that flight for £85 few months back but now its up to £125, there is a cheaper flight the same day, say route leaving at 9am for £86 currently.
As for Dublin, this fixture was my very first Wales Away exactly 10 years ago to the date of the game in March 2017, back then I did the rail'n'sail offer which is great for any fans living on or close to the North Wales coast, it's £69 return for train from your local station and return ferry crossing. I will probably go with this option again as I am literally a 10 minute walk from my station, just saves the effort of driving an hour to either Liverpool or Manchester.

Looking further ahead, you can fly to Tbilisi via Kiev (Ukraine airways), Istanbul (pegasus) or Riga (Baltic Air).
I'm hoping to get a cheap ryanair flight to Riga and spend a few days there before flying on to Georgia, if prices and dates allow.

Great advice, lads! Thanks for the pointers, helipad. I have wonderful memories of Tbilisi restaurants and their brandy/cognac is superb too!

Be careful with them as they charge for carry-on luggage that is any bigger than a very small backpack.

yeah i was warned by a family member, they class a large cabin bag as your standard cabin bag which you have to pay extra for, which we have done!

Thanks for the tip Re: Wizz Air baggage fees. I was just about to buy three tickets with them! They allow 42x32x25cm dimensions onboard free of charge. They consider 56x45x25cm to be a "Large cabin bag", which you can pay €10 to €18 for in advance or €40 at check in - OOOOuch!

I see you can fly via Moscow as well but not sure on current relations between the two? If flying with Ukraine air do you fly over Russian occupied part of Ukraine? (Excuse my political incorrectness!) Via Istanbul might be the safest way?

Last time I was in Georgia (1991) we got chased out of a wee town by heavy shelling targeting Gamsakhurdia rebels, fled to Tbilisi where we were advised to leave as Shevardnadze sympathizers were running amock in town. Finally we took the night train to Baku only to be arrested and questioned personally by the deputy foreign minister who instructed me to "leave by nightfall" as he genuinely believed that I was an Armenian spy ... Don't even ask what happened on the Russian border when trying to leave ... Politics in this area is absolutely out of control. Needless to say that trip was the best I have ever had!

Flying to Vienna Sunday to Friday with Easyjet from Luton which was £73 return. Out of interest, Easyjet allow you to pay/part pay for flights via nectar points which has given us free flights for this one. We're heading to Salzburg for a few days via train and will get back to Vienna on match day.

Great advice on Austria away, as per usual. Aiming to get Austria and Ireland down as my away days. I am a tad apprehensive about Serbia away, due to a friend of mine having a bad experience there, last tine we went there (and he wasn't talking about on the pitch).
