Only a good thrashing of these will do Agreed. The team will be well into their stride by the time that game comes around, barring injuries and suspensions of course.

Only a good thrashing of these will do Not gonna happen. I would take any kind of win right now quite frankly. Although I would be bitterly disappointed if we didn't win because, no offence, I wasn't impressed with ROI at the finals considering the qualifying group you came through. The kicker was that Italy game when they were practically inviting you to score from the first minute. They looked a total disinterested shambles and yet you still needed a last minute winner to get by. Improved a bit against France but as soon as they went through the gears they had too much. Fair argument that you didn't have a great deal of rest for that game though.

Fair argument that you didn't have a great deal of rest for that game though. French game we should have been 2 up at half time and their fans booed them off pitch, sitting with French fans around and their openly admitted they were going out if they kept the same performance in 2nd half. Goals were good but we let them back in however we were wilting by that stage. It wasn't a shock as not sure what was hotter Lille under roof or Lyon....................... We outplayed Sweden and sat back at 1 up, all too common occurence and let them back in when we should have killed it off. Against Belgium we were awful, penalty shout was ignored and they went up and scored they were better on day but had we got penalty then who knows. Italy we had penalty shout again turned down and third time we have played Italy in a championship................ lets be fair that man for man how many Italy supposed second squad would be in first choice in either of our 1st 11s. Neither of us have strength in depth. Both our games will rely on who is available and not injured. We do not have a Bale, however if he is injured or off form are the team good enough to still get a result ? I see 1st game as being tight and last may be irrelevant for one or both teams.

As I live in kildare its bragging rights, .... The thrashing was tongue in cheek It will be a tough game and one we can win Its going to be tight for both of us. This will not the game for either of us that decides who wins the group. That game will be against Georgia............... home and away.
