For anyone going to Belgrade - or wherever in Serbia our match will take place - the possible flight options I've come across are, as follows:
All flying out on Sat 10 June and back Mon 12 June.
Cheapest return flights are Heathrow to Vienna to Belgrade (both with Austrian Airlines) or the direct flights are Heathrow to Belgrade return (Air Serbia), but cost a lot more. However, South Wales based fans have the option of Cardiff to Amsterdam (KLM) to Belgrade (Air Serbia) or, cheaper still, and the option that I've taken, is Cardiff to Amsterdam (KLM) to Vienna to Belgrade (both with Austrian Airlines ). This last option, although the flights are more, once you take petrol, Heathrow parking for three days, the bridge and the time into consideration, actually works out almost to the penny of the cheapest flights above. Also, the first flight from Cardiff is 6am - the same time as the first leg of the cheapest option from Heathrow - and also lands at Cardiff at 9.30pm, again, the same time as the cheapest option lands at Heathrow - so you could quite conceivably be in work on the Tuesday, fresh as a daisy. Leaving Belgrade is an 8am ish flight for the option I've chosen, while all the others seem to be a 6am kind of time, giving more recovery time from the drink etc from the night before - especially useful if the game is in Novi Sad, like the 6-1 was.
Therefore, South Wales based fans, if you don't mind having three flights in one day with a few hours in both Vienna and Amsterdam on the return leg, then, i believe that this is your best bet. There is much less time between flights for the outgoing leg, but not too little a gap where u would need to worry too much about making your connections.....I hope!!
