"Aerodynamic" is the word you're all looking for.

Just looks like any other pro footballer of his generation. That’s Xmas ruined.

Unused sub again.
Chelsea need to hook him.
We need our best players getting game time.

Unused sub again.
FFS Chelsea - get him lent out somewhere else. Do a "Gallagher", as it's known.

Did people really expect him to be turning out for them every week just because it was the Bundesliga? Leipzig are a serious title challenger, not some quaint club. It's the equivalent of Chelsea loaning him to Man City. The assumption that he should be playing more often because he's decent for us is bordering on English exceptionalism, he's a 19-year-old lad with plenty of time ahead of him. At present, he's closer to Leipzig's first team than he would be at Chelsea, getting valuable experience of a team challenging for a title and learning under one of Europe's most promising managers. It could be better, but at least he's learning in an environment that will mentally prepare him for the big occasions.

Did people really expect him to be turning out for them every week just because it was the Bundesliga? As usual, you have things the wrong way round. Many posters, like me, didn't want him to go there because we knew he wouldn't get enough game time. With Upamecano possibly moving to Arsenal, things look very bright for Ethan at Leipzig. Really ? Seems to me you were just about the only poster on here who thought he would be getting regular game time.

He would have had a better chance if Upamecano left, but he didn't, so he isn't.

Jesus, talk about an overreaction in here. Rabbi joined Schalke in January and he's only played in 8 games for them so far, but we all know he's top class and should be an automatic starter, displacing the existing players immediately on arrival! DISASTER!!!1 Absolutely nothing wrong with Ethan not starting at this moment, let him learn from quality coaches and players whilst getting used to the culture and language before throwing him onto the pitch. Some posts don't age so well.

Some posts don't age so well. My views haven't changed on this, as I said before. He's still getting quality coaching and training alongside top quality players, he's in the right environment to learn. 5 appearances at his age and experience isn't great, but it isn't bad either. If we weren't so reliant on kids to do the work of men, this wouldn't be such an issue for everyone else and we'd consider it natural development - nobody is panicking over Neco. He'll go back to Chelsea with the experience of what it takes to challenge for a title, and as a well-rounded individual - something people raved about Bale being when he first joined Madrid. Now put the sauce down and stop being such a whopper.

First two appearance were when they were already 5-0 and 7-0 up. He'd have got quality coaching and training alongside top quality players (and perhaps even a full game) if he stayed at Chelsea. Stick to watching and commenting on the pub-league football. You don't understand how the top leagues work.

Stick to watching and commenting on the pub-league football. You don't understand how the top leagues work. If Ampadu played for any club other than Chelsea, I'd agree about going on loan to get game time. Chelsea don't care though, they buy players as if they were shares, loan them out and sell them on for a profit. So long as they're not paying full wages for a player to sit idle or play youth football, they're happy. This is how they make their money since Abramovich stopped pumping in the cash. He wouldn't have gotten quality coaching at Chelsea unless he was in the first team, this is why they have their most promising players out on loan. The view most agents and journalists have of Chelsea is that nothing substantial exists beneath the first team other than the minimum required by the FA. The odds are in Ethan's favour if he stays true to himself though - Salah, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Thorgan Hazard & Ake have all done very well since leaving Stamford Bridge. I'll overlook your final remark, everyone says silly things after a few sips.

Strong rumours that Ampadu will be recalled and loaned to Bristol City for the rest of the season. Would be a good move, especially with Ash being there to mentor him.

33 pages on Amapdu already. Mind you 32 of those are all about him not playing for Leipzig.

It's such a shame that Leipzig are challenging for their first ever title. Will he even get a medal if they were to win it?

ON FOR LAST 30' when they were already 3-0 up at home ...
EDIT
Played as right sided FB. Should have scored with a free header from a corner. Not really tested defensively.
