Both Wales and Scotland U21 have been invited - so no doubt, the Swansea fans will be out there in numbers ;-)
The actual final clashes with our Belgrade match, but it will be great to see the lads at the semis ...

The Toulon tournament will be held from 29 May to 10 June and will feature 12 teams placed in three groups of four.

All six venues are within a 50 mile radius of Toulon, so if you are based anywhere East of Marseilles you should be ok

Dragon Sport updating that all but one of the competing nations have been announced:
Wales, Ivory Coast, Scotland, France, England, Japan, Czech Republic, Bahrain, Cuba and Angola.

Combines well with our Belgrade away, as long as be don't make the actual Final...

Flights from Marseilles to Timisoara OR Montpelier to Tuzla on Thursday are only €60.

Nimes to BELGRADE on Thursday is only €76.

Flights from Nice to BELGRADE on Friday morning and flights from Nice to Tuzla on Saturday mornings OR Marseille to Sarajevo are all only €100.

Its €135 Saturday morning Nice to BELGRADE.

Just a word of caution for those flying in/out of NICE. Its a gorgeous town, but dont let the distance to Toulon / Marseilles fool you!
The train track between them - although only 150 Km - is a super slow 2 hours ride.

In terms of the squad for the tournament would you take a squad of older youngsters or a squad with the best possible players to try and progress as far as possible?

For me it should be the strongest possible squad with players like Wilson, woodburn, ampadu, Cullen and Harries etc rather than just a squad of 19/20 year olds

What is the eligibility/criteria for player selection? Has anyone compiled a list of (decent) eligible players or a likely squad?

It should be the younger players, thats what the tournament is designed for, not your main team. It would be great tournament exposure for the likes of Wilson, Woodburn, Bradshaw, Watkins etc.. Furthermore, we have the Serbia game, so unlikely Woodburn would be involved unfortunately, as he should be nailed on for the squad in Belgrade.

Watkins will turn 27 this year, and Bradshaw 25!

I believe that Eurosport usually have coverage of this tournament. With the British sides involved i wouldn't be surprised if Sky tries to get coverage.

As far as i am aware, this year's tournament is an under 20 one (it used to be U-21 before).

I certainly hope that Woodburn and Wilson stay in the Belgrade squad, especially being without Bale and Church

I'd expect Woodburn to be with the seniors but Wilson may well be in France if Huws and Lawrence are fit.

George Thomas can count himself very unlucky if he's not involved in Toulon, he's having a fine season. Mark Harris, Connor Roberts, Gethin Jones all on the verge of breaking through. Any others in with a shout?

Gethin Jones and Connor Roberts both 21 so ineligible unfortunately.
Exactly the type of players who would benefit from us playing friendlies.

The draw and fixtures have now come out. We have France first (30th), then Bahrain (1st) and Ivory Cost on (5th).
I'm going out for a long weekend to take in the Bahrain game and staying in Marseille and commuting from there. Is anyone else planning something similar? It's a bit of a 'mare getting back from Fos-sur-mer in the evening. If there is anyone else doing something similar, perhaps we can arrange some transport etc.
