pretty much my thoughts on it aswell,i cant see him starting the season and if carson does alright then its hard to see where he will get much game time
maybe that was the only interest shown?

Apparently he turned down moves to Tottenham and Fulham and to be fair you can see why as he definitely wouldnt be first choice there
It seems like he didnt want to leave Hull but they have pressured him into leaving, probably with a tidy pay-off so they could get the transfer money for their debts. As far as Boaz is concerned he wants to play first team football and he would have thought he could do that at Hull. Moving to West Brom he gives himself the best chance of being no. 1, although he will still start on the bench and its still likely to take a severe loss of form from Carson for him to get in the first XI.
Feel sorry for Boaz, think he was put in a difficult position and has taken the lesser of the potential evils.

we're forgetting one thing: carson is not very good. no one was interested in taking him from WBA were they? and he seems happy to be there. for me, this is a 50/50 call - not ideal for boaz, but he's in with a shout.

oh dear, just looked at the story on the bbc website; it would seem that carson is WBA captain.
if that's the case, myhill should have dug his heels in and waited for a move to a champ club where he would play.

if he turned a move down to tottenham then why? surely arry was very keen there was a few articles floating about at the end of the season. surely boaz is better than gomes? or am i insane? gomes has had 2 seasons now and he is useless,He is an excellant shot stopper but still for to many mistakes. I can see tottenham signing a keeper this summer ,akiniev or hilderbrant mp.
however competing with shwarzer at fulham tho i can understand why he would turn them down that would be very difficult to be number one.
Kyle letheren has gone to kilmarnock and lewis price has gone to crystal palace.
all we need now is fon williams to get a decent move somewere and overall it wouldnt have been that bad of a summer for our goalies. Hennesey needs to stay were he is. I cant see hanneman being number 1 over him next year.

nah, got to disagree. gomes is superb - he had a tough early period there, but was outstanding before joining and has since regained that form.

I think this could be a bad move to WBA. Myhill is a far better keeper than Carson, but if butterfingers is captain what chance has he got?

Good move/bad move? Personally I'd give him a shot, Carson is very over-rated. He may be captain but club captains have spent entire seasons on the bench before - Jamie Redknapp was Liverpool captain at a time when he hardly played. Boaz has a chance to break into the team, and if he does it could be good as surely WBA are due to stay up this time.

It really annoys me that in 99.9% of teams the goalkeeper is a safe position- bar the ones that our keepers play in! Ours seem to be in and out of the side on regular occasions! By the time we play Montenegro will Letheren be the only welsh keeper playing first team football at Championship standard or better?

so you dont think myhill is better than gomes? gomes had a shaky start when redknapp took over but he was quite consistant last season,i seem to recall a match against arsenal? where he was brilliant i wouldnt fancy myhill's chances of playing much at spurs,if the rumours are true that schwarzer is off to arsenal then fulham would have been a good move for him

Bit of a strange situation with our keeepers at the moment, but I suppose you could say England have similar problems. Everyone seems to think Joe Hart will be their number 1 now, even though he could be second choice back at Man City. I like Myhill, but think Hennessey is better. But who cares what I think, lets ask big Nev; news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/league_of_wales/8222673.stm

Brilliant! Should turn this into a regular series "Ask Nev" where we fire all sorts of random questions at the big man ;D My entry: "Nev, my mates daughter has kept all his football medals, what would you do...."

Back to Myhill, , just noticed that Dean Keily is still at WBA as well. Lot of competition for Boaz even to get on the bench.
